Other imaginative responses as appropriate. CORE Love VALUE TITLE Compassion Towards Humans and Animals LO By the end of the lesson, students should be able to: 1. List the benefits of compassion towards human being and animal. 2. Appreciating others by carrying out a round robin to discuss how they can show appreciation towards the elderly. 3. To show empathy by designing a card and writing 2 simple inspirational sentences for the elderly. ACTIVITIES 1. Teacher shows a video on Moby Dick to students. 2. Teacher asks what the students can see from the video. (Expected answers: Old man with his workers). 3. Pupils are divided into small groups of 4. 4. Each group is given a bubble map and list five benefits of compassion toward human and animal. 5. Students display the bubble map in the classroom. They will choose the best group to present. 6. Then, students are asked to talk about how they can show appreciation towards their elderly (Round Robin –PAK21). 7. In their group, students choose one leader to write the ideas given by each member of the group. 8. Students exchange their ideas with the other groups. 9. Finally students are asked to design an appreciation card to show their appreciation to the people for the elderly. 10. Students need to write how they appreciate the elderly and followed by inspirational words to the elderly. 11.
