Course Title Database Management System
Course Credits 3 unit
Database Management System, deals with databases that are a great help in putting together pieces of data we hold.
Course Description
Organizing a collection of data into records facilitates faster processing to produce the required information. This subject
will teach the students to use the database and they will understand how database work.

Course Hours/Week 1 hour/week


Prerequisite CSC 111
The student should develop skills and understanding in:

 Properties and functions of the database
 What is database management system

 Know the types of database
 Identify the ER Models
 Learn to connect tables using the proper Cardinalities
 Learn to create a database with the proper sql syntax
 Learn to create database using MS Access and MySQL

CONSULTATION HOURS : CLASSROOM POLICIES:

No Cell phones allowed during sessions.


7:00 -8 :00 MWF/ 4:00 – 5:00 MWF Proper wearing of uniforms.
CAS Faculty room No throwing of garbage anywhere inside the laboratory.
No eating and drinking inside the laboratory.
No pornographic viewing.
Playing computer games is not allowed.
Seven consecutive absentees is considered drop.
