ANALYSIS:

Many pupils struggle in solving problems must understand them before learning higher-level Math.
The subject-matter covered the following contents; understanding of addition and subtraction of
whole numbers up to 100 including money, visualizes and solves one-step routine and non-routine
problems involving addition of whole numbers including money with sums up to 99 using
appropriate problem solving strategies, solves one-step routine and non-routine problems involving
addition of whole numbers including money with sums up to 99 using appropriate problem solving
strategies

Learners had so many difficulties which are shown during teaching learning process. Where in
teachers must able to double his ability to give more attentions to those having hard to cope with
the subject and the content.

Here are the following difficulties encountered during the teaching-learning process:

a. Learner’s Behavior
b. Attention span
c. Division Readiness; and
d. Process-Wise Difficulties

So as a teacher giving so much time dealing with all the difficulties encountered, reinforce
strategies that will help learners to cope with their difficulties. I created localized activity sheets
which learners easily understood the lessons. During vacant time from 10:30 to 11:00, together
with the learners having difficulties with the subject I am doing the remedial teaching. Since, there
are learners which easily absorbed the discussions; I have them to help their classmates. We did
PEER TUTORIAL; it such promotes active learning with direct interactions.

ANALYSIS:

The understanding of whole numbers based on the performance of the Grade 1-ONE LOVE.
They are basically, learners are having hard time to catch up with the subject-matter. I
already administered simple drill facts using flash CARDS, hence I also received the same
performance level.

The weakness in teaching and learning of whole numbers is not the error or fault of
teachers. It is based on how learners deal with their difficulties. A lot of teachers struggle
teaching the whole numbers to learners and I am thinking this on how to deal with the
difficulties. Also, learners are always engaged counting numbers; and learners had
difficulties in answering them.

Based on their performance, Here are the following difficulties that are very observable:
a. Limited attention span
b. Reading Readiness
c. Sentence Construction

So as a teacher giving so much time dealing with all the difficulties encountered, reinforce
strategies that will help learners to cope with their difficulties. I created localized activity
sheets which learners easily understood the lessons. During vacant time from 10:30 to

11-30-18 HOLIDAY (NO CLASSES)

ANALYSIS:

Based on the given data, this third quarter in Mathematics 1 is all about 2-3 dimensional of learners
to remember all the content. We discussed about the four basic shapes, 2-3 dimensional planes and
objects. Learners required remembering the description of each term.

Most learners having bad behaviour towards learning that is why they got failing scores during
evaluating what they learned. Hence, Peer Tutorial is a good way to remedy the needs of the
learners.

ANALYSIS:

MEASUREMENT is also one of the content in Mathematics 4 which most learners having hard time to
catch-up all the derived formula. Getting the area of regular polygon is just simple if you already
mastered the four basic operations especially Multiplication and Division.

Here are the following contents of the subject:

a. Area of Irregular Polygons
b. Estimating the area of Irregular Polygons
c. Area of Triangle, Parallelogram and Trapezoids
d. Estimating the Area of Triangles, Parallelogram and Trapezoids
e. Solving Routine and Non-routine Word Problem Involving Getting the Area of Triangles,
Parallelogram and Trapezoids
f. Creating Word Problems Involving Getting the Area of Triangles, Parallelogram and Trapezoids
g. Visualizing the Volume of Rectangular Prism Using Non-standard Units
h. Volume of Rectangular Prisms
i. Solving Routine and Non-routine Word Problem Involving Getting the Volume of Rectangular
Prisms
j. Creating Word Problems Involving Getting the Volume of Rectangular Prisms.

Based on the given data, learners having these difficulties of Division and Multiplication Readiness,
Process-Wise Difficulties, Sentence Construction and Reading Comprehension. So what I did as a
teacher, we conducted REMEDIAL TEACHING and PEER TUTORIAL during break time and asked
them to answer the localized activity sheets at home.
