Course description:
This course provides knowledge on the basic theory of the fundamentals of electrical engineering
and helps the students to develop the skills on different laboratories works related to the subject.
Course objectives:
After the completion of this course students will be able to:

Unit-5 Capacitors (6 Hours)
5.1. Construct a simple parallel plate capacitor and verify the factors upon which the
capacitance of the capacitor depends.

Unit-7 Fundamentals of alternating current and single phase circuits (12 Hours)
7.1 Use oscilloscope and be familiar with its operation to measure dc/ac quantities.
7.2 Use oscilloscope to measure frequency, time period, phase and phase difference of
an alternating voltage.
7.3 Perform measurement of current and voltage in an R-L, R-C and R-L-C series

Workshop Technology
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is intended to provide both knowledge and skill of basic workshop technology required
for 9th class students of Electrical Engineering stream. Basic comprehensive knowledge of
workshop Tools/Equipment and their safe applications in different technical jobs shall be the core
content of the course.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
After the completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. Observe and apply safety precautions required in the workshop including tools and
equipment.
2. Select and identify required tools and equipment to perform the assigned jobs.
3. Uses of different types of tools and allied accessories.
4. Receive the instructions from the instructor and perform the practical job mainly measure,
mark, cut bend, file, drill, chisel, as per given workshop project works in group as well as
independently.
5. Demonstrate the correct procedure for keeping work areas, tools and equipment clean and

Course description:
