Back to School Backpack Drive
today. Pastor Bonnie Turner
and her husband John lead
the energetic congregation on
S. Union Avenue in Bakersfield.

and kids waited to pick up their
school supplies, backpacks, shoes
and school clothes. Haircuts,
immunizations and health
screenings were offered along
with other community resources.
Is. 58:12 “Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise
up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken
Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”

Isaiah 58:10 “and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the encouragement.
hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will
rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.”

Don’t you just love it when our community draws together to

bless one another? It was a joy for me to share my story, hand
out pocket new testaments and my identity in Christ bookmarks.
