Teaching Evaluations

I have enclosed copies of my teaching evaluations from XYZ University.

The table you find on the next page summarizes the three key questions that were
considered at XYZ to be indicative of good teaching: whether the course is
demanding, if the students were satisfied with what they learned and overall what
they thought of the instructor. The first two columns are College of Arts and
Science and Chemistry Department Averages and the last column is my
individual numbers. The red highlights indicate when my evaluations were
higher than those for both the department and college.

Evaluations for academic year 2004/2005 have been requested and will be
available upon request (they are consistent with the enclosed materials but were
only available electronically for this year) as well as handwritten student
narratives.

Finally, I have requested that two of my former students write letters on

my behalf, Elizabeth Undergrad and Joe Student. Elizabeth did research in my
labs the summer of 2003 and is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program at
Research University. Joe was an undergraduate in my general chemistry class.
He is a non-traditional student returning to do post-baccalaureate work
