MUS558 Presentation Sign Up

Each student must sign up for: 1 reading presentation, 1 listening/viewing presentation

For each, the student must prepare a 15 minute presentation. This should cover the main points
of the article, or the important features of the album, and present an interpretation/viewpoint
on the work. That interpretation will jump start the class discussion, which the student will lead.
The student should prepare 3-4 questions for the class to answer in discussion for an article, and
a critical listening guide for an album/film. These must be sent to Dr. Reed 3 days before
class meeting for approval and distribution to the class. The best questions are not
yes/no answers, but instead are open-ended and help to dig into problematic or interesting
areas of the work, and connect to other themes discussed in the course.
