 Activity The activity will be a review activity based on what
the students have learned throughout the lesson for
the week. It will be based on their understanding of
Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. As well as different
characteristics about each season. They will need to
know the differences and any similarities that we
would have discussed throughout the lesson. They
will be using animoto.com. They will be using this
technology in order to make a review video for the
class to watch together. Each student will make a
video and once each video is done we will start to
watch them as a class. Together as a class we will read
the book “Sunshine Makes The Seasons” by Franklyn
Branley to help give them some ideas for the video
they will be making. They will be monitored
frequently and be guided during this activity in order
to ensure they are successful with their seasonal

video. They will be creating these during independent

work time as well as during our lesson time.

Directions for Use
Please provide step-by-step instructions for your students to
use the tool to complete their assignment. Depending on the
age of your student, this might begin with 1. Click on Earth
to open the Internet. Etc..

1. Log onto your chrome book or the classroom
computer to google chrome.
2. Type this in to the search bar:

3. In the right hand corner click on the log in tab
and enter in the classroom user name and
password given on the sheet of paper at the
beginning of this activity.
4. In the upper right hand corner click on the
create button
5. You will then click on the tab that says “start
from scratch”
6. You and your groupmates will select a video
style and click “choose style”
7. You can now click on “add a block” and insert
pictures of the different seasons for different
slides
8. You will then go through and add facts that
you have learned throughout the week about
the different seasons.
9. You are able to preview it throughout your
video, I as well will be previewing it
throughout to help put the video together.
10. Once all four slides are done, we will take a
look together at the video to make any
changes.
11. You will then call the teacher over and I will
help you save it and make sure it saves to the
classrooms page.
12. At the end of the week we will watch all of
the videos together as a class.
