Paper File Reduction

If your file drawer is overflowing, it is time to consider scanning some of those documents and saving
them in your computer instead of your desk. You'll want to save a hard copy of anything with an original
signature, but almost anything else -- business receipts, credit card statements, utility bills -- can be
safely kept electronically. Keep them in online storage to prevent losing them due to fire or other
disaster. If your scanner comes equipped with a document feeder, use it to scan an entire year's worth of
bills, statements and tax returns at one time with very little effort.

Photos

Photographs fade with age. Preserve them in mint condition by scanning them and storing them

electronically. Pull family pictures out of those old photo albums and scan them. Use photo-editing
