My 8 Point Strategy To Maximise Your Child’s Success

 This is ideally implemented in Year 8 – Year 12.

 If your child is older, then don’t worry, this strategy will still help your child.
 We will just need to fast track a few things.
 Parents, take this quiz to see where you are on it:

1) Have you thought about your values as a parent in terms of, for example,
how you let your child make decisions, set educational goals and flex their
growing independence?
2) Does your child put good revision techniques to use so they work smarter
not harder?

3) Is your child receptive to supportive conversations about their future?

4) Does your child have the space, time and skills to explore new interests
and talents, or develop existing ones?
5) Does your child have enough information to choose GCSEs and A-levels?
a) Does your child understand these choices affect what degrees they
can choose?(bonus mark)
6) Is your child doing work experience every summer from Year 9?
a) Do they know what it is for and how to get the most from it? (bonus
mark)

7) Is your child involved in your community, building skills such as teamwork

or leadership?
8) Is your child engaging with the world, getting involved in discussions and
not just sitting on the sidelines?
