1.What are the benifits in studying Phil. & Asian Arts education in the ff.
*Education
Art education is vital for today’s world including the ability to allocate resources; to work
successfully with others; to find, analyze, and communicate information; to operate increasingly
complex systems of seemingly unrelated parts; and, finally, to use technology.Learning is an
action process, and the arts allow students to take action, to do things, to make mistakes, to
explore and search for answers. No other educational medium offers glthe same kind of
opportunity.
Studying this kind of subject matter can give us access to greater understanding of a
universal diversity, to assist us to appreciate and understand ourselves better and develop a
sensitive, and intelligent participation in society.
*Culture
It's very easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of day to day life we have to contend with.
By exposing ourselves to some culture and arts, we remove ourselves from this same old, same
old routine and get out of our comfort zones, altering our perspective. Reading a straightforward
account of a moment in history will expand your knowledge of the cold, hard facts but often
taking it a cultural interpretation of it may make you more open and receptive to receiving the
information, and it may allow you to better understand the depth and emotions that are part of it.
The message can become more real and more tangible when presented in a different form.
2.How could it be beneficial for students? How it can contribute to a better society
tomorrow?
It is because improved Academic Performance. The arts don’t just develop a ones
creativity the skills they learn because of them spill over into academic achievement and also
the students Focus as they persevere through painting or singing or learning a part in a play,
focus is imperative. And certainly focus is vital for studying and learning in class as well as doing
a job later in life.
Art in this sense is communication; it allows people from different cultures and different
times to communicate with each other via images, sounds and stories. Art is often a vehicle for
social change. It can give voice to the politically or socially disenfranchised. A song, film or novel
can rouse emotions in those who encounter it, inspiring them to rally for change. Art influences
society by changing opinions, instilling values and translating experiences across space and
time. Painting, sculpture, music, literature and the other arts are often considered to be the
repository of a society’s collective memory. Art preserves what fact-based historical records
cannot: how it felt to exist in a particular place at a particular time.
3. As an educator how can you encourage, inspire, provide a context for academic and
personal encounters for national, religious , cultural for global vision using the ff. streams.
Arts, Dance, Music, Performing arts, Visual Arts.
Teachers must plan very carefully to ensure that all students participate in high-interest
educational activities that are personally relevant. Failure to recognize and address students’
unique backgrounds could result in a large portion of the future adult population of this country
who cannot participate successfully as global citizens. Academic experiences and parental
perceptions impact students’ attitudes toward education. To create enthusiastic, lifelong
learners, effective teachers show students that what they are learning in school will equip them
with the knowledge, confidence, and skills necessary to have fulfilling lives.
Effective teachers help students set achievable goals and encourage them to focus on long-
term improvement, not just grades on current assignments. Students learn to evaluate their
progress, critique their own work, analyze their strengths, and address their weaknesses.
