Event Details: This event is open for all engineering branches. Model should be prepared of any equipment,
process with new ideas & innovations. Participants should come with required accessories along with prepared
model. Event will be judge by external person. Best model with appropriate explanation will be awarded.

Students from Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Food technology can
participate in this event with their projects related to new ideas, solutions on problems faced by industry and
society. They can present their projects in the form of live demonstration, model, and presentation. Best project
will be awarded.

Event –Structural Model making (for degree engg. students of Civil)

1. Problem statement will be provided after registration.
2. Only fevi-col & candy sticks can be used for preparing the model.

4. Strength to weight ratio will be checked as per problem statement.

Problem statement
 An Arch Beam max size 80 x 80 mm in cross section, fixed span of 1200 mm.
 Point Load will be applied centrally.
 Both side Fixed supported condition.
 Maximum Load will be 100Kg and Maximum Allowable deflection will be 20mm
 Strength to weight ratio will decides the Winner.

Event –Spot surveying (for degree engg. students of Civil)

1. Problem statement will be given on the spot.
2. Participants have to complete the given task within time limit. A work evaluation is done on the basis of
time required for completion & accuracy of results.
3. Depending upon the no. of participants several rounds will be carried out.

Event –Concrete Mix Design Competition (for Civil Engineering Degree Students)
Reporting time at 9.00 am, 14th March 2018
1. Grade of concrete M30.
2. 7 day strength will be checked on CTM. A work evaluation is done on the basis of load carrying
capacity of the cube.
3. Only ONE cube will be checked for strength.
4. Mineral admixtures and fibers are not allowed.
5. Water reducing admixture can be used.
6. The Mix Design should be in printed format duly signed by HOD.
7. The date of casting should be 7th March 2019 and this should be certified by the HOD.

Event –Technical Quiz (for Civil Engineering Degree Students)


Reporting time at 9.00 am, 15th March 2018
A. GENERAL RULES
1. Single Entry – 100 Rs./Student.
2. A team shall consist of max two persons & only team entries are allowed.
3. The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
4. The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments.
5. The questions shall be in the form of multiple choice, True / False statement, Specific-answer question
etc.
6. Audience shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors.
7. Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.
8. Teams selected for the final rounds will be allowed to give themselves an appropriate name related to
the competition by which they may want to be known

B. ELIMINATION ROUND – (In case more than 6 teams register)


1. Each team would be given a set of question paper containing 25 multiple choice objective type questions
2. Time limit - 15 minutes
3. Only 6 Teams would be selected for STAGE ROUNDS
4. In case of tie between 2 or more teams, further 5 questions would be asked for final selection
5. The selected teams shall have to appear for the final round.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering :

Event- Open Book Test Rules and Regulation


1. Test is only for Under Graduate students (Engineering/BE/BCA/B.Sc.) and also for Diploma students.
2. Entries should be in group and each group should have 2 students.
3. Fee for each group is 100/-.
4. The first round of online test will be conducted in CSE department (New Building, DYPCET, Kop.) on
2nd March 2019 (Time: C & C++ from 10am to 10.15am and Java from 10.30am to 10.45am)
5. List of qualified students for second round will display on the 2nd floor Notice board.
6. Two problem statements will be given at the time of second round, out of which students have to solve
the maximum within 1 Hour of time.
7. List of qualified students for third round will display on the Notice board.
8. Two problem statements will be given at the time of third round, out of which students have to solve the
maximum within 2 Hour of time.
9. Open book Test will be conducted on Open Source Platform. (Ubuntu)
10. Internet facility will not be available during open book test.
11. Students can come with required packages/Software in pen drive and hard copy material if needed.
12. Mobile/Smart Phone/Electronic gadget is not allowed.
13. Judge decision will be the final decision.

Event -APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Contest will be in following Domains:


a. Mobile app development: Android app development, Windows app development, Hybrid app development
b. Web app development
c. Cloud app development
Rule for Domain 1(Mobile app development)
-Editor will be provided
-Internet facility will be provided to download packages
-open software will be provided e.g Open JDK, MySQL, etc.
-For pre installation or Environment development time will be provided before start of Contest.
-Hybrid platform should be configured by team.
Rules for Domain 2 (Web app development)
-Open software will be provided
e.g. MySQL, Open JDK, etc.
-It is permitted to use GUI design by website like Wordpress, WIX, etc.
-Results must be shown on Network (Local host will not be consider)
Rules for Domain 3(Cloud app development)
-Open private cloud environment will be provided as per demand before 4 days.
-Open software will be provided
e.g. MySQL, Open JDK, etc.
General Rules for all three domains
-All work must be in Open Source.
-One problem statement will be provided for all domains.
-Personal laptops are not allowed.
-Team should come with advanced tools with prior intimation.
-Environment development is liable to Team.
-Duration is 3 Hrs.

Event-The project Competition (CSE Diploma)


The project Competition (CSE Diploma) is conducted with the below mentioned criteria. Best projects will be
rewarded based on the ‘regulations of competition’ given below

Project idea judging will be based on the following criteria: Innovativeness, Aesthetic, Simplicity,
Sustainability, Usefulness to society or Industry, Optimization of use of resources (time, money, materials,
manpower or energy), Potential to be an entrepreneur, Improving productivity, State- of-the Art Design,
Technology and Application, Uniqueness and Novelty

General Rules and Guidelines for competition


 Each team should have maximum of 5 members.
 The competition is open for only Diploma students.
 Members should have a valid student ID card of their college.
 A team member can participate in only one project presentation.
 Any institute/college can send any number of entries.
 Project can be in form of working model/software/simulation based/industry sponsored/experiments
with abstract and references.
 If exhibition of working model is not possible then it can be presented in form of poster or
video.

Regulations for competition and display of Project


Student taking part in project exhibition event should follow certain rules regarding the event.
1. Points to be covered
a. Introduction
b. Block diagram /Experimental Setup
c. Working principle/Methodology (Action Plan)
d. Its advantage and disadvantages
e. Future Work
2. Participants must exhibit their project on the day of project competition
3. Teams will be given a space to set up their model/design at the venue for exhibition and for judging.
4. All selected participants will receive participation certificate.
5. Main event will be held on 14thMarch 2019 where all projects will be displayed by participants.
6. Basic requirement i.e., electric power supply of 230V AC will be made available to participants as per
requirement of project.
7. Participants should bring all their requirements; if anything is required it should be specified along with
the registration.
8. The decision of the judges shall be treated as final and binding.
9. The organizers reserve the rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit. Any changes in
the rules are notified to the registered participants.
10. Judges decision will be final.

Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering :

Event -Project competition for BE:


1. This competition is open for final year students B.E. (Electronics or E & TC) course.
2. Entry fee per participant will be Rs 50/- (Participants per group- 3 to 5)
3. No restriction for number of entries per college.
4. Project can be in form of working model/software/simulation based/industry sponsored/ experiments.
5. Students should carry their own laptop & required software / hardware tools to present their demo.
6. Selection of best three Projects shall be based on innovative ideas and working model of the project.
7. The projects submitted must be original and recent works.
8. Certificate will be given to all participants.
9. The electrical supply will be provided.
10. Decision given by judges in all the matters will be final.
11. The project must be certified by college authorities.
Event -Competition for diploma & mini project:
1. This competition is open for students of Third Year (Degree in Electronics engineering & E &TC course
i.e. Mini-Project) & Last Year of Diploma Candidates.
2. Entry fee per participant will be Rs 50/- (Participants per group- 3 to 5)
3. No restriction for number of entries per college.
4. Project can be in form of working model/software/simulation based/industry sponsored/ experiments.
5. Students should carry their own laptop & required software / hardware tools to present their demo.
6. Selection of best three Projects shall be based on innovative ideas and working model of the project.

Rounds for Techno quiz:


1. Round 1:- TECHNICAL APTITUDE-
Offline test, minimum marks depending on the number of entries..
2. Round 2:-ON-STAGE ROUND-
Each team would be asked 5 questions each and answering time per question is only 30 seconds
Discussion within the team is allowed
3. Round 3:- RAPID FIRE ROUND-
Each team will have to answer 5 questions at a stretch with a time limit of 10 second per question
Discussion within the team is NOT allowed
4. Round 4:- BUZZER ROUND-
10 questions will be fired at all the teams one after another. The team that presses the buzzer/bell first
gets a chance to answer it.
5. In case of a tie between any two or more teams, an additional surprise round will be conducted.

Department of production Engineering :

Event-Best from Waste – Design & Manufacturing (Open for all degree & diploma students)
Reporting at 9 am, 14th March 2019.
1. All material will be provided by committee.
2. The problem will be given to participants at the time of event (On the spot)
3. Maximum time will be 4 hours.

Event Name: Dustbin Making (Open for all degree & diploma students) 14th March 2019 reporting at 9
am.
1. Cartoons (Box), cutting and pasting material will be provided by committee at the time of event.
2. Material required for decorative purpose should be carried by participants.
3. Maximum time will be 2 hours.

Event: Knowledge Quiz:
Themes
The contest will test the knowledge of the contesting teams in the following broad areas
General Knowledge of fields such asTechnical, Culture & Heritage of India, Sports, Current affairs etc.
A team should not have more than two members.
Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.
General Rules
1. Only team entries are allowed.
2. The participants will not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic gadgets during the quiz.
3. The questions shall be in the form of multiple choices, true / false statement, specific- one word
answer and the like.
4. The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
Qualifying Round (Aptitude test) – (In case more than 10 teams registered)
 The aptitude test will be conducted in any one of the hall within the DYPCET campus on the day of
the event. The participants will be informed of the venue and time in due course of time.
 Each team would have to answer 25 multiple choice objective type questions online.
 Time limit will be 25 minutes for the entire session.
 Only 10 teams would be selected for the FIRST ROUND.
 In case of a tie between any two or more teams, an additional five questions will be given to the last
less scored tie teams and a final selection will be made.
 Teams selected for the final round will be given a name and during the course of the final rounds this
name will be called upon by the quizmaster.
Round 1: 2 Rounds with 3 questions per round.
 Each team would be asked 3 questions each. ( Objective questions with options)
 10 marks will be awarded for a correct answer.
 5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
 Answering time per question is only 30seconds.
 Discussion within the team is allowed.
 Only4 teams would be selected for the SECONDROUND
 In case of a tie between any two or more teams, an additional five questions will be given to the last
less scored tie teams and a final selection will be made.
Round 2: Buzzer Round: A question will be posed to all teams and the team which presses the buzzer first
will be given the chance to answer.
 10 marks will be awarded for each correct answer while a deduction of 5 marks will be done for
wrong as well as no answers.
 Answering time is limited to 30 seconds per question.
 The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
 Only3 teams would be selected for the FINALROUND
 In case of a tie between any two or more teams, an additional five questions will be given to the last
less scored tie teams and a final selection will be made.
Final Round- Audio-visual round
A video clip/ Picture will be projected on the screen and questions related to the clip/picture will be posed
to theteams.Thisaudio-visualroundwillconsistofoneroundwitheachteamgettingoneclip/picture per round.
 10 marks will be awarded for the each correct answer whereas wrong answers will lead to a deduction
of 5 marks each.
 Answering time is limited to 30 seconds per question.
 No passing is allowed to the next team.

Event- Games: Rules and Regulations Counter Strike 1.6


1. Competition Method: 5 vs. 5 (5 players per team).
2. Round Time: 1min 45 seconds.
3. A toss will be done in order to decide which team will be playing as terrorist or counter terrorist
4. In the case of tie after the regulation, 6 extra rounds will be played. (3 rounds as terrorist and 3 rounds
as Counter Terrorist per team)
5. The Last match is a Knifing round. Both teams drop their guns at base and move towards the center of
the map. The team who wins the Knifing round will be winner.
6. Starting Points for an official match are 800$ as default in the game.
7. Shields are strictly forbidden from being used for both teams.
8. Don’t use consoles commands during the matches.
9. Few official maps: De_dust2, De_ inferno, De_ nuke.
10. Don’t use Scroll Duck during the matches.
11. Participant should carry their own headphone with 3mm jack.
12. Entry fees per participant/player will be Rs. 50/-

Event- Games: The Rules of Ludo

1. Each player rolls the die; the highest roller begins the game.
2. Players alternate turns in a clockwise direction.
3. To enter a token into play from its yard to its starting square, a player must roll a 6.
4. If the player has no tokens yet in play and rolls other than a 6, the turn passes to the next player.
5. A throw of 6 gives another turn
6. If a piece lands on a piece of a different colour, the piece jumped upon is returned to its starting circle
7. If a piece lands upon a piece of the same colour, this forms a block. This block cannot be passed or
landed on by any opposing piece
8. Entry fees per participant/player will be Rs. 50/-

Winning
1. When a piece has circumnavigated the board, it proceeds up the home column. A piece can only be
moved onto the home triangle by an exact throw.
2. The first person to move all 4 pieces into the home triangle win.
