DTI Nueva Vizcaya Joins National Flag Day Celebration

Bayombong – The Department of Trade and Industry Nueva Vizcaya Provincial

Office joins the country in the observance of the 121st National Flag Day on May 28,
2019.

A flag-raising ceremony was held at 8:00 a.m. at DTI Nueva Vizcaya Provincial
Office, spearheaded by their Provincial Director Henry O. Conel, Jr., to officially kick
off and celebrate the 15-day period for the National Flag Days of the Philippines.

The declaration of the said event is contained in R.A 8494 or the “Flag and Heraldic
Code of the Philippines” and House Bill 5224 which were approved by Congress.
This was also declared through Executive Order 179 issued by President Fidel V.
Ramos.

During the activity, DTI Nueva Vizcaya staff pledged to a Clean Flag Manifesto.
According to Director Conel, the activity emphasizes respect and love for the
Philippine Flag. He further said that Philippine Flag should be kept clean, in order
and always honor it. He also reiterated the symbols contained in the Philippine
National Flag.
