Task Directions: Conduct an interview with a person from a different cultural background and
apply what you have learned about intercultural communication.

MECHANICS FOR THE INTERVIEW:


1. It will be a group interview following the guidelines provided by the teacher.
2. The class will be divided into 7 groups with 5-7 members.
3. Each group will be given a set of questions for the interview.
4. The allotted duration of the recorded interview is a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum
of 10 minutes.
5. The interview will be video recorded and transcribed for the class presentation and grading.
6. The groups will be graded according to the following criteria:
a. Content
b. Voice

d. Interpersonal Skills
e. Organization

Rationale: The interview aims to immerse the learners in various contexts of situations for further
application of the lessons in communication. The skills to be enhanced in this activity are the
students’ speaking and listening skills, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt to people of
different cultures and backgrounds.
