Cutting a Grid to Export Area of Interest

It may be necessary to export a grid out of Petrel that has been cut to the area of
interest (AOI). A quick tool for this method is to create a copy of your AOI and use
this for export. There are 3 options for defining your grid extent;

1. Select the limits of your grid

Choose to use either:
I/J increments
Segment Filters
Zone Filters

2. Select copy 3D grid

3. New grid is stored at bottom of

models pane
4. When using Segment or Zone filters to cut the grid make sure the filters are applied
to correct zone/segment in the model

5. Select only the segments within AOI before you

apply the segment filter and cut the grid.

6. You can then export only your area of interest > right click on AOI and select
export and the format you need to use
