About menstruation
When a girl was born, it already has eggs in the ovaries. The pituitary glands sends the
signal through the blood cells to the ovaries during puberty then it starts to produce a
hormone called estrogen
these eggs release and go to the fallopian tube to the uterus. When it is fertilized
(baby) it will stay but if it is just passing it will leave through the vagina. This is normal
and will happen to girls each 28 days. After a menstruation it will take 2 weeks to
repeat the cycle again.
Girls have two ovaries, and each ovary holds thousands of eggs During the menstrual
cycle, one of the eggs comes out of an ovary and begins a trip through the fallopian
tube, ending up in the uterus Before the egg is released from the ovary, the uterus has
been building up its lining with extra blood and tissue to keep the baby healthy and
protected If the egg is fertilized by a sperm cell, it stays in the uterus and grows into a
baby But usually… But most of the time the egg is only passing through When the egg
doesn't get fertilized, the uterus no longer needs the extra blood and tissue, so it leaves
the body through the vagina as a menstrual period A period usually lasts from 5 to 7
days About 2 weeks after the start of the period a new egg is released, which marks the
middle of each cycle.
Puberty is the time when our body changes physically, emotionally and
socially. We grow up from a child to an adult. Puberty is the quickest time to
