 INTRODUCTION

1. Broadband Communication Networks Limited (Broadcom) is a Telecommunication

solution provider organization whose main objective is to provide
telecommunication network solutions for mobile network operators, fixed network
operators and large business customers in Africa Region. Our core business
activities are new telecommunication network installation services, network
maintenance services and network testing products.
2. Broadcom invites eligible suppliers to pre qualify for supply goods and services for
its operations in the year 2011-2012
3. Broadband Communication Networks invites you to submit sealed applications for
Prequalification of suppliers for the financial year 2011-2012
4. Please read through this document carefully and provide the requested information
together with ALL required supporting documents.
5. Please note that by responding to this questionnaire you accept all answers
provided are legally binding and should need arise, may be used in a court of law
which has jurisdiction.
6. A response will be invalid unless it is signed & stamped at the declaration section.
7. In case of any queries, please contact the Supply Chain Manager on the following

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SUPPLIERS

1) The bidders MUST comply with all the instructions, terms and conditions and
particularly ensure that all the forms required are properly completed. Answers to
the questionnaire should be relevant to the goods; service or works applied for and
should be as clear and concise as possible.
2) All bidders must have registered offices and Broadcom reserves the right to visit
physical premises from where applicant conducts business to ascertain capability.
3) This pre-qualification does not amount to any contractual obligation on the part of
Broadcom, and Broadcom is not obliged to invite any tenders or quotations from

 any or all candidates that have expressed their interest by responding to this
invitation.
4) Broadcom will short-list and issue Request for Quotation/tender documents only to
those suppliers that demonstrate their competence to supply & deliver the
respective listed goods or services.
5) Broadcom has the right to invite Suppliers for goods, works and services in any of
the categories as and when required depending on performance.
6) Broadcom has the right to authenticate information provided herein without
reverting to the participant.
7) Each Supplier documentation will be evaluated in terms of quality, delivery, after
sales service, credit terms and other contractual obligations.
8) Each page of the application form and Declaration form must be signed & stamped
by the authorized representative of the organization and submitted with relevant
documents such as relevant licenses, references, certificates, and any other support
information that the applicant wish to be considered.
9) Each supplier must submit catalogues or brochures for products/services they wish
to supply.
10) It is a condition that participants must have complied with all statutory
requirements in regard to registration of VAT and remission of required taxes.
11) Broadcom has the right to accept or reject any proposal/tender without assigning
any reasons for the decision and will not in any case be responsible or liable for any
costs associated with the preparation of tender documents.
12) Suppliers shall not contact Broadcom on the prequalification process from date of
submission to official communication of results. Any attempt to influence process
will result to disqualification of applicant

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION

1) To qualify for consideration, prequalification documents shall be submitted in

sealed envelopes properly labeled with the item category, the item code and item
description as applied for and deposited in the tender box at Kalson Towers, 2nd
Floor or be addressed to the
