enthalpy of formation,∆fH0 of benzene .Standard enthalpies of formation of CO2(g) and H2O(l)
are -393.5kJ/mol and -285.83kJ/mol respectively. 3

23. Priya is a good swimmer one day she went for a picnic organized by her school to a famous
lake. During her picnic at a moment she heard shouts of a small boy who was drowining in the
lake. She immedetialy jumped in water and was able to save the boy. Everybody present there
appreciated Priya . Wet cloths of Priya dried after some time due evaporation.

(1) Define standard enthalpy of vaporization. 1

(2) Predict the sign of ∆S and ∆G for evaporation of water at 298K . 2

(3) What are the values shown by Priya.? 1

24. Compare the relative stability and indicate their magnetic nature using Molecular Orbital
energy level diagram for O2, O2+, O2- and O22-. 5
