Hi Owen,

It sounds like a great idea to look at improved greening opportunities and something
camden supports through a number of routes.

Jonathan is a ward councillor for the ward so I’ll leave you in his capable hands.

Best wishes

Danny

Subject: Kings Cross Community Project

Dear Councillors,

I have been in contact with Street Environment Officers regarding creating a community
project to improve the streets around the old housing blocks in Kings Cross south of Euston
Road.
In essence, the plan is to use the enthusiasm of these residents in gardening their balconies
and courtyards to bring community gardens to the streets surrounding the blocks, which are
much less cared for.
We also plan to remove old street clutter and install new furniture, more appropriate to the
area and its heritage.
Hopefully this 'greening' and general upgrading will reduce commonplace anti social
behaviour and littering.

I know plenty of people in my block interested in this. I am getting in contact with people in
Hastings House. I cannot find contacts for the other housing blocks. Perhaps you both are
more in contact with these people, being Community Councillors. I would appreciate it if
you could help with this. Given the scope of this sort of thing, perhaps some sort of a
meeting would be more appropriate at some point.

Best regards,
Owen Ward
