“REORGANIZING THE MUNICIPAL DISASTER AND RISK REDUCTION

MANAGEMENT COUNCIL (MDRRMC) OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SABLAYAN,
PROVINCE OF OCCIDENTAL MINDORO.

WHEREAS, The Local Government Unit of Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro is committed

to the protection of lives and properties of its residents at all times;

WHEREAS, due to climate change, natural and man made calamities; disaster
preparedness mechanism is an important component of disaster risk
reduction and mitigation;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ANDRES D. DANGEROS, Municipal Mayor of Sablayan,

Occidental Mindoro by the virtue of powers vested in me, do hereby reorganized the
Municipal Risk Reduction and Management Council to be reconstituted as follows:

SECTION 1. Composition - The MDDRMC shall be composed as follows:

Section 2. Expanded Membership-if necessity so warrants, concerned agencies may

call for the expanded meeting wherein their representation has an equal privilege and
function with regular MDRRMC.

Section 3. Functions of the MDRRMC

1. Approve, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the MDRRMCP and

regularly review and test the plan consistent with other national and local
planning programs;
2. Ensure the integration of disaster risk and climate change adaptation into local
government plans, programs and budget as a strategy in sustainable development
and poverty reduction.
3. Recommend the implementation of forced or preventive evacuation of local
residence if necessary; and
4. Convene the local council once every three (3) months.

Section 4. Technical Working Group – a Technical Working Group (TWG) for the
MDRRMC is hereby created and shall be composed of the following:
