Apple King Educational Group kindergarten at

An opportunity to learn about the early identification of speech
disorders!
KAMPAR -  Agacia BrainScience
International Sdn. Bhd. conducted
an Evaluation of Speech Disorder
and Speech Therapy Workshop in
Menara Agacia, Kampar, Perak on
last 29th and 30th June 2019
(Saturday & Sunday).
This 2-day workshop focused on
speech-related disorders and the
application of speech therapy amo-
ng special needs children. This
workshop was led by Prof. Dr. Kim
Ha Kyung (Ph.D, CCC-SLP), an
experienced professional speech
therapist and lecturer in East China
Normal University, China.
The workshop was graced with the
attendance of 60 participants from

local communities, as well as
educators and representatives from
the educational and training institu-
tions across Malaysia. This workshop
was organized with the objective of
creating a platform for participants
to understand and learn the impor-
tance of assessment and speech
therapy in aiding children with

Over the 2-day intensive workshop,
Prof. Dr. Kim Ha Kyung presented
detailed and in-depth explanations
on the mechanism of speech and
language, and pathology arising
from abnormal developments. On

ment under the demonstration
and guidance of Prof. Dr. Kim’s.
The impactful workshop also
included assessment procedures,
theories and practices related to
speech rehabilitation as well as the
introduction of current therap- 1
eutic modality.

The event ended with a closing

ceremony and certificate present- 1
ation to the participants. The
informative workshop received
positive feedback from the
participants and local commun-
ities. Madam Shiw Shin Yeen, the
Managing Director of Agacia
BrainScience, also expressed her
hope for such informative work-
shops to be organized more often 2
in the future, as means of
promoting awareness to better aid
individuals who are challenged in
the aspects of speech and
language development.

International Conference on Special Education 2019

Abundance of support is needed for
developing useful methods and techniques
to educate children with special conditions.
We are glad to have participated in the
International Conference on Special
Education 2019, which included evidence-
based research presentation of pedagogical
innovations in education. The latest research
on the strategies and approaches to help
with the society with special needs education
were presented by researchers and
practitioners from all walks of life.
We had presented Neurofeedback Tech-
nology and set up booth to demonstrate the
Neurofeedback system at the conference. It
was great opportunity to share about the
education technology that can be both
effective and fun at the same time.
After the conference, we were offered to visit
Puspaga, a center that provides education to
the families with special needs children. We
had also visited a school that promotes
inclusive education and teaching their
students who have special conditions. 
It has been a great journey and we hope that
we can continue to progress and venture into
the next level of our journey, as the saying

goes: nothing ventured, nothing gained!

During the visit, we had discovered a variety of

innovative strategies for conducting an
inclusive education. The innovative strategies
shared by the professionals in the field had
inspired and motivated us to continue to
break new ground in special education.

In the picture, the colourful and cute hats

were made by a child who is on the Autism
Spectrum. We were amazed by the creativity
of the child and the success of the teachers in
bringing out the best of the children
regardless of their conditions.

The visit to the schools had been an eye 2

opening experience. The great performances
such as the musical and dance performance
provided by the children with and without
special conditions together were wonderful
and inspiring. After this trip, we will continue
to spread love and awareness about brain
health to help and make this society a
healthier place.

Spreading awareness
on brain health
Philippine, a beautiful country with very
warm and welcoming citizens. We had
traveled to Philippine, Pangasinan to share
about the Neurofeedback training, brain 2
health and nutrition. On that day, we had
shared our educational training program to
over 80 teachers. The teachers were very
enthusiastic and passionate about helping
their students, which we are glad to be able
to share our knowledge and information
about brain health and Neurofeedback
Training.

After giving a few different talks, we had the
opportunity to bring the technology to the
locals. This is to be said because we have
initiated a collaboration with the Wundt
Psychological Institute and Department of
Education Pangasinan II Division. On the
following months, the Wundt Psychological
Institution will be providing the
Neurofeedback training to their local
community as well. We are very excited as 4
this new center in Philippine will help the
community at Pangasinan and provide
them this helpful method that can train up
the brain and maintain the brain health.

We had also visited two schools in Philippine,

the first was the Mangaldan Integrated School.
They are a school which provides education to
children from preschool to senior high-school
regardless of the student's medical conditions.
In particular, the students with or without
mental or physical disability were able to enroll
to the school. On our visit, they were very

welcoming while also had provided wonderful
performances.

We have paid our next visit to Manaoag Central

School, which they had introduced us many
different ways of educating children and we
definitely would love to bring back what we
have learned there. We really appreciate for
the hospitality and opportunity provided by

different stake holders to share about our
educational program. We hope that this will
help more people from different communities
to gain help from an advanced tool.

Agacia Brainscience!
Our mission is to offer Brain Activation Consultation Support and Neurofeedback
Training Programs to help people to achieve improvements, so as to enhance their
quality of lives. To realize our mission, we organized the Open Day to introduce to the
public about this incredible brain training program, and allowed more people to learn
more about this training that can help you to discover your brain’s potential.

During this open day, our registered counsellor, Ms. Teh

Lay Yan talked about early childhood special conditions
and why it is important for the parents to identify the
symptoms of special needs children. We wish to spread
out this awareness to the public so that more appropriate
actions can be taken to accelerate the growth of the
children with special conditions. Besides that, we provided
a talk about brain health and how Neurofeedback Training
can help us to maintain our brain health. It is a simple
training program, but it allows us to work on the 5
fundamentals such as our attention and concentration,
hence allowing us to have a healthier brain, higher
productivity and performance in work or study.

What we truly believe is a place with more awareness on

this technology, hence everyone can benefit from this
training program.
