Season settings are changed using “Season Selection button” #6. I have little idea what it really means to change these settings except
that “Summer” will give you hot water when you press “Bathe” without turning on your ondol heat, which is useful.

Timer Cycle Labels on left and right when “Reservation” function has been selected:

Boiler operation: How long the boiler will operate for a set Boiler suspension: How long the boiler will pause
period of time (inactive) between operations.

분 = minutes (Range is 10-90 minutes.) 시간 = hours (Range is 1-24 hours.)

Setting the Timer Cycles on the “Reservation” Setting: You should notice a change in display
labels and numbers when the function is switched from “indoor” to “reservation”. The temperature
settings become timer settings instead. To my best understanding, this means the boiler will work to
maintain the temperature you designated under the “Indoor” setting, but it will do so on a timed cycle
designated by you here in “reservation”. Press the “Reservation Setup Button” (#7 on the diagram) to
toggle between operation and suspension settings. Use the arrows to adjust the timer cycle settings.
For example, if you were to set the operation cycle for 20 minutes using the arrow buttons, press
Button 7, and then set the suspension cycle for 2 hours, the he boiler should run for 20 minutes, turn
off for 2 hours, come back on for 20, off for 2 hours, on 20, off 2 hrs, etc. One might use a timer cycle
like this if you’d be away for several hours or a couple days and don’t want to let the pipes and floor
cool down completely however it may be more efficient just to maintain a low temperature.

A Word About the “Bathe” Setting: When you press it you will see a new temperature setting on
the right. That is you water temperature setting and it ranges from 35-60°C. You can press this button
just before a shower or bath (or washing laundry or dishes) for hot water on-demand. You will see the
operation light come on whenever it is heating water and you might even hear the heater ready itself
for your immediate use. These systems work by heating the water as you use it and as the water
runs through it. This means you do not need to do any kind of pre-heating or waiting (except as you
turn on the faucet and wait for the newly heated water to run through the cold pipes from the heater
to your tap). In the winter, the heater needs to work harder to heat the cold winter water so adjusting
your faucet with a slower flow of water is the best way to assure your heater can keep up with your
water usage and give you a nice, consistent-temperature shower as long as you need. When you are
finished bathing, go back to the unit and press button #2 to stop the bathe function and return to your
normal thermostat settings.
