1. GENERAL
1.1 INTRODUCTION:

Underground Warning Tape is an essential element of every duct and cable for
identification and to ensure that excavating crews are warned of the presence of the
telecommunication services (duct & cable), which is very crucial. They are buried
250 mm – 300 mm below the ground level.

2. EXTRA STRETCH WARNING TAPE-FOR SIDE ROAD TRANCHING

It should be formulated from 100% virgin polyolefin resins, which have been pigmented for
chemical stability and resistance to sulfide staining (colorfastness). It should be
constructed by mechanical (non-adhesive) lamination of two plies of three-layer blown
film to produce the bi-axially oriented structure. The material and ink are chemically inert
and should not degrade when exposed to alkalis, acids and other destructive substances
commonly found in soil.
