Greeting: Good afternoon everyone!

Today, we will be presenting the business plan we have

prepared for our business venture.

Springboard: But before we start, I would like to ask who here loves eating desserts or sweets?

Wait a few seconds.

It is known that if not all then most Filipinos love eating sweets. We are known for a lot
of desserts in our culture. However, because of this shared craving, we are at a higher
risk of developing health problems (like diabetes, heart diseases, and obesity –
atkins.com; Harvard.health.edu). This rising health concern is what motivated us to
create our product: the Lechealthy Flans.

Executive
Summary: Read first paragraph. Highlight the initial capital, revenue & cost of goods sold.

Introduction: Read description of leche flan.

And as time passed, the recipe has evolved and gained its own identity in the Filipino
people/culture. We have taken it a step further by incorporating vegetables like squash
and moringa/malungay to it. Since there is a rise in health problems, it is our belief that
our products would bridge the gap of wanting to start and to actually live a healthy
lifestyle.

Business
Name: We have decided on Lechealthy Flans as our business name because it represents our
product: leche flans and our mission to be in good physical condition or physically fit. It
is also easy to recognize and remember.

Objectives: In order for us to succeed and maintain our business, we have prepared objectives for
each aspect of the business. Overall, our goal to make certain the viability of the
manufacturing and selling of Lechealthy Flans.

Discuss the objectives for each aspect.

By achieving all of these objectives in each aspect, it will ensure the success of the
business.

Company Logo: Our company logo will be used on the packaging of our products as well as in our
marketing campaigns. It resembles the leche flan due to the yellow colors with shades
of green surrounding it, which is the known of color of vegetables and symbolizes
freshness and nature.

Business
Structure: Our business is structured with a simple line and staff organizational structure. Since we
are still a relatively small business based at home, this would be the most effective way
to handle the business. I, the owner, will be the only authority to report to by the staff. I
am responsible for managing and overseeing the entire business. And below me (the
owner), will be the staff. They are responsible for efficient production and for the
improvement of the production process with minimal or no supervision.
Option: Point out the names of the owner and staff(s).

Location: Since we are a homebased business, the production will be done solely at my
(the owner’s) house. The house is located along one of Dasmariñas main roads,
Congressional Avenue, situated near the De La Salle Dasmariñas Campus, Gate One. The
location is accessible to both our suppliers and target market.

Look at PowerPoint.

Mission &
Vision: Read Mission Statement.

Our mission is simple and it reflects the motives and sentiments we all share.

Read Vision Statement.

We care about our customers and they are our first priority when it comes to everything
we do in the business. We have placed standards to our products and the process to
ensure only the best quality for the customers.

SWOT
Analysis: The table shown identifies the business potential strengths, weaknesses, opportunities,
and threats.

Located in populous area – Being located in one of the district more populous regions,
this enables us to reach our target market easily and introduce our products to an even
larger demographic.

Distinct products – The idea of a “healthier” leche flan isn’t popular idea and only a
handful have utilize it, including us. Nonetheless, there is a market and people are
curious to what we have to offer.

Affordable prices – In regards to similar business offering healthier alternatives to these

types of food, it can be costly to make it. Fortunately for us, there isn’t much to change
in our recipes and it will still be cheap, making it available at an affordable price.

New business – Being new in the market, does have its risks like failing to start up and
being the unpopular choice amongst the known brands of leche flans in the city.

Rebuttal: Customers can come to use if they’re tired of the same flavors from the same
brands and want to try something new.

Limited flavors – As of now, we can only present two flavors of the dessert due to our
limited budget and resources. But we are planning to expand this overtime.

Rebuttal: Although it is limited, we have perfected the recipes and are confident
enough to present these two flavors.

No reputation – Since we are a new business, it will be hard to gain the customer’s trust
in our products. However, we know that the payoff will be worth it in the end.
Rebuttal: Although we don’t have a reputation in the established markets, this may be
a chance to expand the market by introducing the ideas to those who don’t know it.

Establish a strong customer base – Customers are known to stick to a product when
there is enough trust between the product and the consumer. We will be putting much
value in our customers, gaining their trust that they will choose our products.

Health conscious people – These types of people here in the Philippines still have a
tremendous potential to be catered to. There aren’t many business that offer to them
and these people are more than happy to spend their money for it.

Promotes local produce – Promoting local ingredients not only helps those who work
hard in the fields to harvest such food, but it would promoting other businesses doing
the same and helping expand the local economy.

Competition – These brands already have a customer base and have been doing this
type of business longer than we have. Naturally, customers (old and new) would choose
them over a new entry.

Rebuttal: Although we do have numerous competitors, what we offer and what they
offer are different especially with the idea of leche flans with vegetables in them. And
we simply don’t want to fight in their circle of customers but expand it.

Market prices – It is common that market prices will reach a high point which will be
hard for us to stick to a supplier if they do raise their prices.

Rebuttal:

Lower prices – There are other home based leche flan businesses offering at lower
prices as well.

Rebuttal: We do offer leche flans but are prices are affordable in terms of the other
food alternatives we consider to be part of.

Market
Analysis &
Competition: Read first point.

According to our survey of 50 people, 69% of the residents are willing to purchase
similar products as ours. While 18% were unwilling and 13% were unsure because they
wouldn’t like it or the concept was unfamiliar to them. So there is a large demand for
the product and if those undecided were introduced to the concept, they would have
potential to be our customers as well.

Read second point.

These brands do offer different variations and flavors of the traditional leche flan and
we do have the competitive edge for taking the recipe a step further with the
incorporation of vegetables and answering to the growing demand of such foods.
