7- BEFORE TAKE-OFF
At holding point, you will check the engine and do a briefing before taxing
to the threshold of the runway.

ENGINE TEST

 All the engine Instruments – Green
 Vacuum Instrument – Check

TAKE-OFF BRIEFING
We will perform a normal take-off from runway XX with flap 0°.
Our V1 will be 80Kts and VR 85Kts.
After take-off we will climb with VI 100Kts until 400ft
After 400ft we will climb with VI 120Kts turning to the destination
heading where we are going to reduce the engine to 33 Pol/2500 RPM
We will abort take-off for engine failure, thrust below the minimum,
obstacle on the runway and open door.
If we have engine failure during take-off after v1 we will evaluate the
possibility to return to the airport or to the traffic circuit, turning to the
side of the operative engine.

 1800 RPM BREAKS SET
 Check pressure and temperature
 Release the breaks
 full power constantly
 85Kts - Rotate
 Positive climb – gear up
CALL OUT DURING TAKE-OFF: Thrust set (38pol/2700RPM)/ Speed alive/ 60 Kts/

11- INITIAL CLIMB

A) PT-WTD
 Maintain 100 Kts until 400ft
 Reduce pitch to 120 Kts (no more than 1000ft/min)
 Fuel pump – Off
 Landing Light – Off
 Turn to the route heading
 Reduce the engine to 33 Pol/2500 RPM

 QNE 1013 HPA (2500FT ABOVE TERRAIN)
12- CLIMB
A) WITH AUTO PILOT
 Establish the aircraft (PM, Speed, Climb, Trim), in order to send the
control of the aircraft without any tendency.
 Press FD
 Press HDG or NAV
 Press AP ENG
 Press UP (you need to press up few times and see the reaction of the aircraft)
 Climb with 120Kts or 500ft/min
 1000ft to leveling – Cross check the altimeters

During climb you are supposed to pass 200ft from the cruise altitude, so when you pass
the altitude that you will fly in route, you should reduce the vertical speed.
After reach the 200ft above the altitude you will start descent slowly and when you
arrive at the cruise altitude you need to press ALT.

B) WITHOUT AUTO PILOT

 Keep climbing with 120Kts or 500ft/min
 Pass 200ft from the cruise altitude then start descending slowly
 Trim the aircraft correctly
 1000ft to leveling – Cross check the altimeters
