Summary: On a VNX Filer a Control Station was powered down for no apparent reason without Administrative commands being run for
the purpose of powering down the Control Station.
Issue: Control Station got powered off without the use of any "Administrative" (eg. reboot or shutdown) commands or from by
someone physically holding down the power switch button on the Control Station for the purpose of powering down that
affected Control Station.

This could result in the following:

Unplanned Control Station failover
Control Station got powered off from without any "Administrative" (eg. reboot or shutdown) commands being run

The Primary Control Station (slot_0) may not callhome and or send email notification for slot_1 Control Station notifying
of the issue if this incident occurred on slot_1 Control Station.

"getreason" command output shows the affected Control Station in powered off status.

A review of the sys_log file from the Primary Control Station (the Control Station that is Active running NAS Services),
shows the affected Control Station that went down logging "reason code of 0 is stale" message.

0 is stale.

where
100:::::Slot 0 reason code of 0 is stale (referring to slot_0 Control Station)
101:::::Slot 1 reason code of 0 is stale (referring to slot_1 Control Station)

Note:
This issue only affect some VNX 2 Filer Control Station.

Cause:
Some Control Station Front Panel switch lead lengths are longer and protruding from bottom of the Front Panel board
causing the Control Station to randomly shutdown or reset.

Resolution: Replace the affected Control Station.

Notes:
Callhome and email notification for slot_1 Control Station can be setup by implementing this KB# 479857 - Enable
callhome for Slot 1 control station.
