Chapter 6 Printhead Installation

Procedure to install the printhead

1. Connect the cables to the headboard and the printhead.
Notice: Beware of the way of the connection. Two data cables are in the opposite direction. Cable one is
located on the top of the printhead which connected to the CN 2 position. Cable two is located at the
bottom of the printhead which connected to the CN 1 position.

2. Mount the printhead on the printhead plate. Do not tight the fixing screws

3. Put all the dampers in the printhead.

4. Cut the ink tube to the suitable length

5. Connect the ink tube to the Fixing connector and O ring

6. Connect the fixing connector to the dampers

7. Turn on the printer

8. Do “fill ink ” and ink will fill in the damper

9. Pull the ink using syringe. Two dampers in same color are connected to the syringe. Pull the syringe to
make sure dampers are full of ink.Put back the dampers after pulling the ink
Note: Bottom of the damper should face upward during pulling.
