1.0 General

This document describes the drawing numbering scheme to be followed while

creating a drawing in Sreem Serba Turbines Pvt. Ltd. The numbering scheme has
been designed with an objective of easy identification & handling besides effective
control in concurrent engineering. It has also been segregated based on Product
Type. Drawing number shall be created in serial based on sheet size, irrespective of
the product group/class. The product group and component class appearing in the
drawing numbering convention are just for identification of the component type and
class.

3.0 Details of First Barrel

The first barrel describes the product group and any new product can be added in
future revisions based on requirements. All the Repairs/Spares/Renovation &

Modernization (R&M) activities shall start with a product Code ‘R’ followed by
respective product as listed in below table.

4.0 Details of Second Barrel

The second barrel describes the drawing sheet size, standard sizes being (A0, A1,
A2, A3, & A4). The drawing number shall be in accordance with the drawing sheet
size. Any other sizes apart from mentioned, can be added in future revisions, based
on requirement.

5.0 Details of Third Barrel

The third barrel describes the product subassemblies for easy identification of the
drawing component. Below table lists the different product subassemblies with
empty fields intentionally left for future usage. Any new product subassemblies can
be added in future revisions. The product groups (as listed below) shall be defined
for each Product Code.

6.0 Details of Fourth Barrel

The first letter of fourth barrel represents the product class for identification of the
production status like, casting, forging, fabricated component or bought out
component etc. Additional product classes can be created in future revisions based
on the requirement.

The letters from 2nd to 4th of fourth barrel represents the drawing serial number with
respect to drawing sheet size. The number created shall be in sequence to the latest
available drawing number under each drawing size, irrespective of product
group/class.
