A Dream come true

David Perdomo Munar

When I was young, I was a shy man; I used to spend my hours reading poetry and literature.
One of my dreams was met a famous poet. My literature teacher told me: –there is a
competition and you could be interested in the first prime; you could take one class of poetry
with John Galan Casanova, he said.
I’d been reading some of his poems. They are amazing and complex. In fact, I was reading
one of theme, “todo bajo control”, when my teacher gave me the notice. I’ had been
practicing my writing all the year; my poems were good for the classroom, but those were
the first time that I’ll present to a competition. I’d rewritten my poem five times. I’d decided
to create a perfect poem about the last words when people die. This idea comes to me when
I was talking about memories of grandmothers and grandfathers with my friends. Finally,
when I’d written the fifth version of my poem, I’ll decide to show some of my friends. They
said -It’s as incredible as a professional poem, you have opportunities.
three months later I received the answer by mail. I’d won the competition. All of my work
had given the result at last. I said “thank you” to my teachers who had asked me to say hello
to his old classmate of the university if I won the competition.
The class was really amazing; I’d been a little nervous before the beginning, but when John
started the class, I was feeling really good, I was making a dream come true.
