2.2.2 Function Navigation Tree

All the functions of this software are listed as nodes on the multi-tier Function Navigation Tree.

To use the navigation tree:

Click the little box to the left of the node; if a plus sign (+) is inside the box, the next level of the
selected node will be expanded to show the sub-nodes.
Click the little box to the left of the node; if a minus sign (-) is inside the box, the next level of the
selected node will be collapsed to hide the sub-nodes.
If there is no box but a line to the left of the node, it means there are no sub-nodes under this
node. Such node is called a leaf-node.
If the current user doesn’t have the permission to use the corresponding function of a certain
leaf-node, the text of the leaf-node will be gray.
If the Work Area is empty, clicking a leaf-node will open the form of corresponding sub-function.
Click it again to exit the function.
If there is content in the Work Area, clicking other leaf-node will close the current sub-function
and open the sub-function of the selected leaf-node.

2.2.3 Work Area

The work area is designed to show the function forms from which you can view and enter data.
Within the forms are several components that provide the same function, regardless what form you
are viewing.

Add To add a record. Sometimes only when you edit the value in other
components (e.g. text box) (of an existing record) the button will be
available (not in gray).
