HELP FILE

Several tools have been defined to facilitate access, navigation and searching.
The first page describes the icon functionality. The second page defines the text hyperlinks.
One Rule: Click and Try!

The text of the manual contains words, names or expressions in various colors. This coding

Abbreviations or Bibliographic References:

• Bold Blue: Terms or expressions in Bold Blue constitute links to enlarged Figures, Tables and Photos. The
same links could be established by clicking directly on the small icon related to these Figures, Tables and
Photos;

• Dark Blue: Terms or expressions in Dark Blue provide a direct access to the Glossary. By clicking on the term
you display the corresponding definition. Another click sends you back to the main text;

• Dark Purple: Abbreviations and Bibliographic References are noted in Dark Purple; as for Glossary terms, a
click on one of these abbreviations or references displays the corresponding definition. To come back to the
text, click again on any part of the screen.

More:

• The Table of Contents displayed at the beginning of each Part of Volumes I, II and III, provides direct access
to the corresponding paragraph or sub-paragraph;

• The List of Figures, Tables and Photos provided at the end of each Part gives an access to the
corresponding text reference.
This Integrated Coastal Zone Planning and Management manual has been written in English and Indonesian. The
“Crab” icon located at the beginning of each Part of this manual allows you to shift from a language to another.
Clicking on this icon sends you to the corresponding Part in Indonesian or in English.

Introduction level

The “Starfish Screen” constitutes the introduction level of


Integrated Coastal Zone Planning and Management
manual. From this screen, you can access to :

• The Volumes;
• The Photo Collection;
• The Map Collection;
• The Annexes A, B, C, D, E, F and G;
• The Glossary,
• The Bibliographic References;
• The Abbreviations.

Volume level
This level provides an Overview of the Volume contents.

Part level
At the beginning of each Part of a Volume, the “Starfish”
icon provides a direct link to the introduction level of the
manual.
It is also possible to use the “Coral Colony” icon to come
back to the Volume Overview.
Volume level
This Integrated Coastal Zone Planning and Management
manual is divided into three Volumes. At the beginning of
each Volume, a “Coral Colony” screen highlights the different
Parts. From this level it is possible:

• to come back to the “Starfish” introduction screen;

• to access directly to the different Parts of the Volume.

Part level
At the beginning of each Part, the “Coral Colony” icon
provides a direct link to the Volume Overview.

Note: It is possible to shift between the different Parts (Part


1, 2, 3…) of each Volume by using the “Fish” icons.
The “Fish” icons are navigation tools.
They can be used in addition to the program navigation tools and establish links between specific parts of the manual.
The “Clam” icon displays or hides the Table of Contents of the different Parts of the manual.

A first click on this icon displays the Table of Contents on the


left side of the main text.

This Table of Contents is hierarchically structured and by

1. Tittle level 1 A second click on this icon hides the Table of Contents.

The “Clam” icon has the same functionality than the


commands “Bookmarks and Page” and “Page Only”
accessible through the “View” toolbar command in the
program.

Note: It could be necessary to hold down the mouse key to


hide the Table of Contents.
The “Seaweed” icon is a direct link to the “Find” tool in the program.

Available at the beginning of each Part of the manual, this


icon can be replaced by the “Find” command in the “Tools”
menu, or by the use of the small icon showing “binoculars” in
the toolbar.
The “Camera” icon constitutes a link to the Photo Collection or to the Photo Album.

Introduction level

At the “starfish” screen level, the “Camera” icon gives


access to the whole “Photo Collection”. The photos are
grouped by subjects such as: Reefs and Corals,
Mangrove, Fishery & Aquaculture…

By clicking on one of these subjects you access to a sub-


level displaying the available photos. To display one of
these photos, just click on it. To come back to the previous
screens, use the “Fis ” icon.

Text level
The “Camera” icon inserted into the text represents a link
to a specific “Photo Album” theme. As for the previous
option, this icon links to an overview of the available
photos. Just click on one of these photos to enlarge. To
come back to the previous screen or to the text, use the
“Fish” icon.

Note: the title of the subject provides a direct access to the


corresponding text header.
The “Compass Card” icon constitutes a link to the “Map Collection”.

Introduction level

At the “starfish” screen level, the “Compass Card” icon


gives access to the “Map Collection”.

The “Map Collection” consists of eleven Marine and


Coastal Management Areas maps and one of “Survey of
Kupang Bay Marine Park”.

To come back to the previous screens, use the “Fish” icon.

Text level
The “Compass Card” icon inserted into the text represents
a link to a specific map. To come back to the text, use the
“Fish” icon.
The “Exit Door ” icon allows to exit the manual.

By clicking on this icon the “Exit Screen” is displayed


requesting confirmation before quitting.

The option “No” sends you back to the previous level.

The option “Yes” allows you to quit.
