The Inter-Department Role Play Competition

RULES & REGULATIONS

Theme: IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON HUMAN LIFE

1. Goonj : Hindi Play Competition


Simplicity is the best way to bring out your thoughts. But in this progressive era, nobody pays
attention to the plain and simple. So gear up and let your creativity boost your performance to grab
the attention you deserve. If you think that you have that mesmerizing ability to make the audience
stay and watch your performance, then come and vent out those hidden emotions with simple
costumes and props, with little or no amplification of sounds, and with actors relying only on their
natural vocal and physical abilities. गूंज is the place to be!

a. Each department can send 2 teams consisting of 5-8 members in each team.
b. Participants will get 6-8 minutes to enact their role play.
c. Participants can make use of props and must bring all necessary requisites.
d. Any type of offensive language against person, community, religion or caste would attract
disqualification from the competition.
e. Participants are supposed to bring their own audio in pen-drives and submit a day before, if
any.

Judging Criteria:
 Creativity in the storyline
 Presentation
 Content
 Command in Language
 Gesture & Confidence
 Ability to convey the central theme effectively

2. Rostrum : English Play Competition


Life is like a drama. It's an amazing thing to be able to perform and get reaction from people who
don't know you. They don't automatically think you are wonderful because they love you, they love
you because of the story you are telling on stage. And, actions speak louder than words, don’t they?
Act your heart out as we provide you the Rostrum and show off your perfect acting skills. Who knows
you might discover your hidden talent.

3. Clairvoyance : Short Film Making


If it can be written or thought, it can be filmed. Film making is the art of capturing little moments and
weaving a story from it. It truly is a miracle of collaboration and art! So what are you waiting for?
Just grab your camera and get ready to shoot your film! By making the most of limited resources and
acting with your friends, this individual event is definitely not to be missed for those who are willing
to capture the essence of life in a film.

a. A department can send a maximum of 2 short films.


b. Actors, technicians, editors, directors must be a student of the college/department.
c. The submission must be done 3 days before the date of the screening (27th March, 2019).
Participants must name the video file appropriately and submit it to the in-charge of this event.
d. The duration of the movie must be 8 to 10 minutes including any titles and/or credits.
e. The language used must be either English or Hindi.
f. The film must not contain any copyright work belonging to third party.
g. Obscenity, excessive violence and photo slideshows must be avoided.
h. Advertisements, remixes and spoofs will not be entertained.
i. Films which have been used for commercial purposes or won prizes in prior competitions are not
eligible.
j. Only selected short films will be called for screening. The selected team would be informed and
invited for screening and presenting their work in front of jury.

 Acting as well as the editing of the film.
 Ability to convey the central theme effectively

GENERAL RULES & INSTRUCTIONS


1. Participants must bring their college identity cards along with them.
2. The final decision regarding any matter lies in the hands of the organizers and judges and
is absolutely binding.
3. Any form of obscenity or inappropriate behaviour with the management, judges,
organizers and crowd will result in direct disqualification.
