VI. Rationale:

Children have an innate love for stories. Stories create magic and a sense of
wonder at the world. Stories teach us about life, about ourselves and about others.
Storytelling is a unique way for pupils to develop an understanding, respect and
appreciation for other cultures, and can promote a positive attitude to people from different
lands, races and religions.

Storytelling is what connects us to people, places and even time. Telling stories
even to infants should be an important part of a parent’s schedule. Hence, the need to
develop the love and appreciation for reading at an early age.

VII. Objectives:

This program aims to:

a. Guide children in exploring and discovering the world.

b. Enhance listening skills of children.
c. Prepare and orient children for start of their classes.
