Successfully completed a Consultancy work for Kerala State Consumers Federation(Consumerfed), a
Kerala Government Organsiation with 300 Units of Departmental Stores, 40 Units of Liquor outlets and
100 units of Pharmaceutical ‘Neethi’ Stores as a Wide Area Network(WAN) of 340 Local Area
Network(LAN) in the geographical area of Kerala, with a Centralised Data Centre at Consumerfed Head
Office, Cochin. The Organisation was running with 3 different Legacy Software Systems with a present
Software developed in-house having a WAMP(Windows, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB and PHP) web server
for Unit operations. The LAN System is connected to the Central Data Centre running in a LAMP(Arch
Linux, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB and PHP) Server for daily Data Updations for consolidation, reporting
and Accounting purposes.
As per invitation from Consumerfed, as a Technical Advisor, conducted a detailed study of the existing
System and submitted a detailed Technical Report for total migration of the existing system to a new
Software System.
Proposed and executed remedies to overcome the bottlenecks of the existing system. The major
bottleneck was the time delay occurred in transferring unit data from LAN through WAN into Data
Centre. Successfully executed the remedies and resolved the issues without modifying the existing
Database design and coding structure and involving only other technical means. The software system is
now dependable up to a migration into a newly proposed System and running well with updated data on
a daily basis.

Centre of the Bank and completes the communication for the ATM transactions.
At the ATM side, it is just operating at a mere 2G/3G/4G internet source from a standard provider. The
VPN device at Head Office operates with an internet source with a static IP for the WAN operations to

The vehicle is fitted with multiple power source of KSEB AC power Source and a power Generator with
suitable Air Conditioned Cabins. Solar Power Source which is the best suited for the Mobile ATM project
is avoided due to the Limitations at the Head Office Building in respect of height. The environment is
put under surveillance with CCTV using a Mobile DVR with GPS(Global Positioning System) and 3G
transmitter and WiFi features. The surveillance is possible on a word wide basis including on mobile
devices also. The vehicle is fitted with live TVs for demonstration and with a high fidelity Public

Scale at the COM Port of the computer. The Software Interface is implemented in an Inventory
Application which could utilize the readings from the Weighing Scale and process according to that.
Software Interface is developed using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 in which the inventory is developed.
The interface is utilized in a Dairy Software, developed for APCOS Model of Milk Societies, where the
quantity of the milk is to be fed to the Computer along with other quality parameters like SNF and FAT
for the Milk Sample for calculating the rate of Milk through the collected sample based on which the
invoice for the Milk Producer is generated.
HRMS
System Study, Requirement Elicitation, Software and Database Design and Development for the Payroll
for the Permanent, Contract, Weekly wages, Daily Wages employees around 10,000 employees in
different categories for four estates viz. Cherakkara, Jessy, Tatamala and Thalppuzha under Parisons
Estates and Industries group, Wayanad. The estate was under the Industrial giant, Assambrook,
Calcutta. After the taking over by Parisons, on a step by step all the categories of employees are given
Pay through a Payroll System developed using Visual Basic as front end and SQL Server 7 as Back End

in 2005. After development, the system is re-implemented from the existing poor performing PC into an
IBM Entry Level Server with Intel Xeon Processor and high speed printer for Pay slips and Payroll
Registers within the existing LAN. The system also covers detailed Pay Processing and Statutory reports
like form 3A, 6A, 12A for PF and ESI Reports and Gratuity Processing, Bonus and Employee Retirement
process.
Critical Situation Handled.

Apart from Developing the above Project, in order to implement the project on a Cut-off date, it became
crucial to make ready, various prior data for multiple statutory requirements. The implementation was
done with June Salary Processing for 2005. For this, prior data was required in tables for processing PF,
ESI, Bonus, Annual Leave Wages Calculation and other processing which require data on annual basis.
Some of them in Calendar Year, some of the in financial year and still some others in disordered
periods. All the prior data were prepared by reading from available input text files by making necessary
processing programs in Visual Basic, which generated sufficient data filled in SQL Tables. Collectively
the system became full-fledged to run any statutory report without bothering that the system is
implemented at mid way, the June 2005.
Dial Up Data Transfer

This is a Software Application developed for transferring Data stored in SQL Server running at a remote
location. This could read data which is part of the Payroll or inventory Software in the form of SQL Back-
end from source and transfer into the same format at the destination location as a remote replication of
data server. The application uses ordinary telephone lines with the help of voice modem(9600 BAUD)
to get connected between the two remote SQL Server instances. The Application is developed in Visual
Basic 6, utilising Transaction Management procedures obeying ACID Properties of Transaction
Management. As the medium used is telephone line (Copper Twisted Wire Pair) there are turbulent
interruptions in the line and the software will get disconnected occasionally synchronous to line failure.
Logical Software Mechanism is implemented for automated continuation of the data transferring process
in all break downs of communication on an as is where is stage where it stopped last time. The
progress of transferring is also indicated timely till the successful completion of data transfer. The
project is implemented for transferring data from 3 Tea Estates at a distance of 8 K.M apart into the
group office at the fourth Estate at Cherakkara, Manathavdy, for Parisons Estates and Industries,
Wynad. At group office, the Data is used with same Inventory application that is running at the Branch
office after transferring the data from source to destination by higher officers and for MIS purposes
whenever necessary.
Database Analysis for existence of valid data.

Developed a Software Tool in Borland C with ANSI standard set of commands for reading a Backup
taken in SQL server. The Backup operator after taking backup, at the time of restoration of Backup,
identified that the Backup is only containing NULL characters (ASCII -0). The situation is happened due
to some error condition that occurred in the environment, accidentally due to the presence of some non
exited executable running in coordination with the data backed-up. The Software Developed is utilized
for checking any valid data existed in the SQL Server Backup file. Unfortunately there was no valid data
found within the Backup after checking with the Developed Software tool and it is confirmed before
authority.
Quality Assurance : ERP Systems

Experience as a Software Quality Assurance Lead covering the entire phases of a Software Testing Life
Cycle(STLC) for two huge ERP Systems with Production and Import Export Modules. Managed a Team
of 10 members and worked also as a self contributor for all of the phases of STLC. Prepared Test Cases
by analyzing test requirements and Test Scenarios. Prepared Test Data for successful execution and
conducted various types of tests including Functional Testing. Systematic maintenance of a Bug
Tracking Tool to manage bugs online though emphasis to severity and priority of Bugs. Management of
the team done with the help of an in-house developed Bug Tracking Tool to stick on timely delivery of
the Modules based on the Test Plan based on which the QA processes are controlled. Executed Co-
ordination of the Testing Team to control quality and timely delivery mechanism. Assisted Development
Team regenerate the Bugs reported in the Tracking Tool by simulating the same environment which
generated the Bug. The work is done for the Production Company of Merchem for rubber oriented
chemical production with 3 factories at Cochin and another Tea Production company AVT for their ERP
through a Software Client Grove Ltd., the software division for Merchem at Cochin. Out of the total
bugs posted in the online tool, almost 5% of the Bugs are still unresolved as these are dependent on
the Database and Software Design of the system where as changing the same is a cumbersome

process. Submitted two Technical Proposals for re-vamping the total ERP Solution by self interest and
evaluating the present Quality of the ERP solutions delivered.
Development of Query Generator, Query Parser and Data Extractor using MS-SQL
Server Back-End Procedures.
Modification of SQL Server Back End Procedure to implement new data input and output columns. The
input data for generating Trial Balance and Balance Sheet by an ERP module is pre generated by the
Back End Procedure and handed over to the BS/TB generating Software. Upon calling the Back End
Procedure with the Financial Year Period and few flags to identify the option of TB/BS, the Back End
Procedure internally generates required SQL Queries by making intelligent decisions from within the
procedure by traversing a pool of looping and branching statements through running infinite number of
iterations within the Procedure.
The ERP Database is processed through the SQL Queries generated time to time within the Back End
Procedure and the intermediate output of the Back End Procedure is incrementally generated in the
form of a Text Output file. In the running instance, the Procedure acts as a generator of SQL queries
and as a parser of the internally generated SQL Queries and filters the sufficient data according to the
input parameters as an intelligent component for the various Financial Groups and sub Groups of a
complex Financial Software Installation.
The Procedure is modified to add more inputs and more output columns related to Budgetary Figures of
current year and previous years. The extracted data in the form of Text File is utilized by Visual Basic
Front End Codes to generate the output in the form of final Books of Accounts of Financial Accounting
System. The Procedure is implemented in the Finance module of an ERP, developed for Penguin
Engineering LLC, Dubai through the Software Client Whitelink Computers, Dubai. The project is
implemented and the funds released by the Company which were blocked due to non attainment of
committed requirements in the SRS and the Software Company became happy.
Intel 8086 Instruction set for Language Shell Command set

Development of a set of Assembly Language Procedures using Turbo Assembler TASM and Microsoft
Assembler MASM equivalent to normal input, output and processing statements of a 3rd Generation
Programming Language like Basic, COBOL, Fortran or C. The system is developed using Intel 8086
Instruction Set. The development is done in normal IBM PC/XT/AT with normal text editors for entering
code and compilation by TASM/MASM and Linking with TLink.exe/ Link.exe. The entire collection of
modules collectively simulated a Software Package for various statements set of a 3rd Generation
Language, could be utilised in situations for users where a self identity is the subject matter in respect
of security aspects and where customization within the procedures are becoming an unavoidable
situation.
