Title of the essay: Who I Am

My name is Katherine I’m from Colombia, I live fortunately with my 2 parents, my

initials for me to start school begun since I was 3 years old until 2 years ago. Thought my

whole life I had have some great and bad life experiences, as well as many people

problably have. Live is not always full of fun and happiness, sometimes at certain point

we would might going to face some hindrances at some stages. The fact of know that

everyone one has different stories, drives to the concept that life is conducted differently

and we are not the same. For example in my country cultural behaviour, language which

is commonly Spanish and religion, is developed depending of backgrounds and

educational lifestyles. Stereotypes that describes a country, can differ. For example, the

range population in my country doesn’t have a expecific religion, in contrast, For me,

having the opportunity of knowing that I’m not alone, that I have a God that will be

always there for me, has helped me a lot to be brave, and be aware of never give up at the

time of facing obstacles.

My personality which I considered myself is sometimes quite complex, in occasions I

don’t even know myself, everyday I’m learning something new about what kind of things

I do well or not, I’m not as confident with myself as I wish were, and depending of the

circumstances my likes, dislikes and character change, for example at school, I have had

great experiences I did well, my friends used to said that I was a shy good friend, that

means that it was sometimes quite difficult to be myself. Actually I’m not so shy, I like

to be active and confident, but sometimes is just difficult for me to acquire that depending

of the context. the fact of having the experience in my early years of developed and
inherited innless that drove me to nearly go, and also the experience of losing a close

friend, was pretty hard to overcome, but luckily I did. leaded to this, things like running,

reading, especially in other language, helping people at listen them or giving them some

personal advices, reflection about everything, meeting people from different countries,

are some of my likes and strengths,however, for those things that I’m not really good at

or I just I don’t try, are playing computer games, I don’t have even one, and smoke.

The reason of why I’m here studying is based for several different motives, firstly, my

commitment is to start and complete my professional career at this university, hopefully

graduating in a successfully way. Acquiring new experiences that this unique university

can offered me learning from professional characters that for whole years of study are

available here at QUT to help us. Enriching the concept of how we can find our own way,

meting people from different parts of the world, enjoying clubs or societies, and develop

more talents at this university, which has been recognized around the world one of the

best places to learn, is just a unique and absolutely magnific experience. Also, the fact of

improve my English by reducing my weakness like writing, and speaking, and strengths

like reading and listening, at the time of being part of QUT, Improvement of learning and

acquisition of new opportunities and life experiences, leads to the concept that certainly

some dreams or achievements that we have could possibly happen.
