Playing WMMT5 on

ZeroTier One
By @nzgamer41#5424 on Discord
PLEASE READ ALL SLIDES COMPLETELY
OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE ISSUES!!!
Prerequisites:
● Latest TeknoParrot
● ZeroTier One, which can be downloaded here

EVERY SLIDE HAS

I’m going to start this off now,

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS!!!!
READ THEM ALL!!!
Internet requirements
● I have tested this on Ethernet, WiFi and Mobile Data. All work.
Instructions for everyone:
1. Download and extract TeknoParrot
2. Download and Install ZeroTier One.
Host/Terminal Emulator
Instructions
Only one person needs to make the ZeroTier
network, skip ahead to slide 11 if you are just
connecting.
Instructions:
● In your preferred web browser, navigate to https://my.zerotier.com (the link is
clickable)
● Create an account, or log into your already existing account if this isn’t your
first time using ZeroTier.
● You should arrive at a screen similar to the one below.
Instructions:
● Once you are there, click “Networks”, then click “Create”.
● You should see a new network pop up.
Instructions:
● Click on this new network. You should now be in the settings for the network.
● Scroll up to the top, and under IPv4 Auto-Assign, click on one of the options
that says 192.168.some numbers. For this example we will use
192.168.191.*. THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT AND SHOULD NOT BE
SKIPPED!! WMMT5 DOES NOT WORK WITH IP RANGES OTHER THAN
THESE!!
Instructions:
● Rename the network if you want, then under access control I would
recommend clicking “None (Public Network)”.
● Tick “Enable Broadcast (ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff)”
Instructions:
● Under Managed Routes, make sure that the only thing is that
192.168.whatever you picked before. To remove ones that aren’t what you
picked, click the trashcan next to them.

● You are now done in the ZeroTier Dashboard. Note down the Network ID at
the top (it will look like 16 random numbers and letters) and send it to the
other players.
Everyone instructions
This applies to both the person who is hosting the
game/made the network and the other people
playing.
Instructions:
● Go to the start menu, and scroll down to the bottom and click “ZeroTier One”.
An icon will appear in the Windows taskbar.
● If any zerotier windows pop up on screen, just close them for now. Don’t
bother logging into ZeroTier/using a API key, it isn’t necessary.
Instructions:
● Right click on this icon, then click Join Network. A prompt will pop up.
● In that prompt, copy and paste in the Network ID you either received from the
person who made the network, or from the ZeroTier Dashboard if you are the
person who made the network.
Instructions:
● Click join.
● Your computer will then talk to the ZeroTier matchmaking server to connect
with everyone else.
Instructions:
● Now open Network and Sharing Centre. On Windows 7, just go to the Control
Panel and click on Network and Sharing Centre. On Windows 8 and 10, press
the Windows Key and R, then in the prompt type “control” (without the speech
marks) and press enter
Instructions:
Instructions:
● Once you’re in Network and Sharing Centre, on the left click “Change Adapter
Settings”, then double click on the adapter labelled “ZeroTier One [your
network id]”
Instructions:
● In the prompt that pops up, click on “Details…”
● You should see IPv4 Address, this is your ZeroTier IP Address.
● Now open TeknoParrotUi.exe, go to Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5 and
click Game Settings.
Instructions:
● Set up the game like you normally would, but in the textbox labelled
NetworkAdapterIP, type in your IP address that is in the details window that
we opened before.
Instructions:
● Click “Save Settings” then close all the extra stuff we opened like Network
and Sharing Centre. DO NOT CLOSE ZEROTIER ONE (This should be
obvious)
● Click Start Game and you should be able to play up to 4 players!
Troubleshooting
READ THE NEXT SLIDE CAREFULLY
Preface because I’m sick of repeating myself:
● Check ALL slides again, one by one slowly before messaging me. Pestering
me because you can’t read will only make me irritated. I am but one man who
has a bunch of other things (work, university, social life) that are more
important then MT5 online.
● Honestly, most issues are caused by stuff like Windows Defender or Windows
Firewall. First thing you should try is turning both of these off. I know for a fact
this works for me with Windows Firewall off, and I use Kaspersky Security
Cloud for Antivirus. If you haven’t done these things, don’t be surprised if I
stop replying to your messages.
● If English is not your first language, please tell me before asking me stuff! I
don’t want to confuse you when I help, but I am a native english speaker so I
may need to simplify my words if you aren’t a native speaker. There’s no
shame in not being 100% fluent in english, as long as I know, I will be patient.
Troubleshooting:
● If you get stuck at the “Waiting for Wangan Terminal” screen:
○ Make sure only one player has “TerminalEmulator” Ticked on their TeknoParrot.
○ Try turning off Windows Firewall/Allowing wmn5r.exe and OpenParrotLoader64.exe in the
Firewall both outbound and inbound
○ Try swapping hosts, so make someone else the TerminalEmulator rather then the current one.
● If the VS match works up until the “Now Loading…” screen with the map and
it kicks you back to picking either story mode or Time Attack:
○ The ping between the players is too high. Try switching to Ethernet if you’re on WiFi, or
swapping TerminalEmulator hosts. If that still doesn’t work, then someone’s internet
connection is too laggy for the game, you may be too far physically from one another. Eg: I
have issues playing against US players as I am in New Zealand on an ADSL connection.
Troubleshooting:
● If the game gets to the Day/Night screen and crashes:
○ You’re still on TP 1.81. Download the latest version which fixes this issue
● If there is no “NetworkAdapterIP” setting on your TeknoParrot:
○ Update your TeknoParrot. You are most likely on an older version.
● If you don’t have TeknoParrot at all and launch the game through wmn5r.exe
○ You’re using JConfig/some other loader. There is actually a way to play on ZeroTier with
JConfig which is WAY easier, DM me if you want to know how (this tutorial is focused entirely
on TeknoParrot due to the fact that whether you like Reaver/TeknoGods or not, JConfig isn’t as
good as TP especially if you want to play WMMT with a xbox one controller I’ve found.)
● Any other issue:
○ Feel free to DM me on Discord @nzgamer41#5424, my timezone is GMT+12 so if I don’t reply
I may be asleep, so please be patient!
○ Check my GitHub, https://github.com/nzgamer41 occasionally I post updates to OpenParrot
related to WMMT5 there, so if you’re having an issue, see whether I pushed an update.
