COMMON but IMPORTANT TIPS in answering BIO ESSAYS

1. READ THE QUESTION CAREFULLY

2. HIGHLIGHT the COMMAND word in the question such as Explain, Describe, Compare...so that you
know what you are supposed to do..
3. Plan your ESSAY... (by roughly sketching mind map, flow chart, diagram etc )
4. LOOK at THE MARKS allocated. (This give you idea how long your essay should be )
5. Answer in paragraphs if it is a long essay.
6. Do not write in a point form (bullet / short notes)...because it is ESSAY !!!
…..UNLESS you are short of time !
* 7. Give Facts + Explanation for every answer..
8. Write as long as you like..Never mind if it is wrong ..you won’t be penalize.
9.....Write and keep on writing.....Produce all the facts that you ever remember..
10. Produce Diagram to support your answer but make sure it is all labelled!!
* Diagram help gain marks for essay (Paper 2- at least 2-3 marks out of 10) and
procedure (Paper 3) … but don’t spend too much time on it !!
11.Write at least 2 pages (including half page of Diagram)
12. Tables are allowed only for COMPARING
13.Choose only TWO essays if the instruction is TWO!!

( BIO PAPER 2 need you to master BIO CONTENT very well !)

content very well...at least 80-100% content..
