To start off the year students in Year 3 will begin a new unit in Jigsaw called “Being me in my
World.” This unit covers a wide range of topics including a sense of belonging, welcoming others
and being part of a school community, a wider community, and a global community; it also looks at
children’s rights and responsibilities, working and socialising with others, and pupil's voice.
“Being me in my World” is a 6 lesson unit and will be taught once a week. Each lesson will have a
topic and specific learning objectives. Year 3’s topics and learning objectives are as follows:
