PETITION TO DETERMINE HEIRSHIP AND INTERESTS IN PROPERTY

Comes now, Petitioner Karen Harrison, potential heir and interested person, by and
through counsel, Hernandez Tinder Walker, LLP, and moves this Court to determine the heirs of
the Decedent, John Isaiah Cossin, and the descent of all property, which he left intestate. C.R.S.
15-12-1302.
I.
John Isaiah Cossin (“John Cossin”) died intestate on March 3, 2002, at the North
Suburban Medical Center, Thornton, Colorado, in ADAMS County. Decedent resided in
ADAMS County at 3600 E. 88th Ave, Thornton, Colorado 80229, at the time of his death. John
Cossin was born on July 30, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan. Decedent was not married at the time of
death.
One year has passed since the date of death of the decedent Administration of the
decedent’s estate has previously been granted in this state or any other state.

II.
Petitioner, Karen Harrison, born , is the daughter of the Decedent.
Diane B. Cossin, born , daughter of the decedent is the only other known heir of
John I. Cossin. (See Attached Affidavit) No other minor children or adults suffering from any
disability are known to the petitioner.
Each interested person received notice of the Petitioner’s intent to file this request with
the court. Each notice was mailed by certified mail, return receipt requested.
The following interested parties received copies of the petition to determine heirship and
interests in real property.
a. Karen Harrison, 724 Kenilworth Rd., Tallahassee, FL 32312.
b. Diane B. Cossin,
c. .Jody Peterson, 3600 E. 88th Ave., Lot No. 183, Thornton, CO 80229-5236.

III.
At the time of Decedent’s death, Decedent owned the following property:
a. A Champion Mobile Home, 1984, Title: 12M653613. Serial No.: 0548139988. Size:
14/66. Currently located at Thornton Estates, 3600 E. 88th Ave., Lot No. 183,
Thornton, CO 80229-5236.

b. Other personal property and effects of no substantial value.

Decedent was [set forth D’s complete marital history, e.g., (never married) (married to
and survived by 3.03 on the date of death) (married to and survived by 3.03 on the date of
death, but had been married and divorced from 3.21A in about 3.25A in 3.26A, and such
divorced spouse of Decedent has no interest in Decedent’s property) (not married on the
date of death, but had been married and divorced from 3.21A in about 3.25A in 3.26A, and
such divorced spouse of Decedent has no interest in Decedent’s property) (not married on
date of death, but had been married to 3.30A, who died on 3.33A) (other possible
combinations)].

All children born to or adopted by Decedent have been listed. Each marriage of Decedent
has been listed.

IV.
This application does not omit any information required by Colorado Probate Code, §15-
12-1302. C.R.S.

There are no debts owed by Decedent known at this time.

Applicant prays that citation issue as required by law; that upon hearing hereof, this Court
determine who are the heirs and only heirs of Decedent and their respective shares and interests
in this estate.
