1.

In the story Kaffir Boy by Mark Matahbane, the boy's initial attitude toward going to school is
hatred or dislike. He hates school and doesn't like to go there for he has been a witness to lots of
violence and he feared the whites. However, he learned to love the school and even become top
of his classes.

2. The boy went to school because of his mother's insistence though he does not like it because he
had witness a lot of of cruelty and has learned to fear the whites. Despite that he promised his
mother that he will go and stay in school. It was not his mother who promised him anything.

3. The boy, towards the end of the excerpt realizes that he does not want to be exploited by the
whites however, he will ask the ideas for people he respects regardless of its color. He needs to
play for the whites because that is his only ticke to a scholarship for college.

4. Yes, of course. The first minute you were born you know how strong the bond you have between
you and your mother. Your mom is your life-long teacher and anything she says influence you.
You'll be persuaded since she's your mother but still it all depends on the situation.

1. A liberal education is a system or course of education suitable for the cultivation of

a free (Latin: liber) human being. It is based on the medieval concept of the liberal arts or,
more commonly now, the liberalism of the Age of Enlightenment.[1] It has been described as
"a philosophy of education that empowers individuals with broad knowledge and transferable
skills, and a stronger sense of values, ethics, and civic engagement ... characterised by
challenging encounters with important issues, and more a way of studying than a specific
course or field of study" by the Association of American Colleges and Universities.

2. A liberal education constitutes a flexible curriculum that can expose a learner to various
concepts and theories, which can be readily applied to a certain situation. Moreover, this kind
of education does not constrain or lock a student in a box. Liberal education aims to empower
an individual and give him the ability to decide over his fate.

3. The word “liberal”, “belonging to a free man”, comes from a world where slavery existed, and
has survived into times when, in the literal sense, it has no meaning because there are no
slaves.

4. A free man is the guy who can do anything for you. A real man is a guy that will never let you
down but a complete man is the guy that is willing to do anything for you and that will never
let you down.

5. Technical education is a term applied to schools, institutions, and educational programs that
specialize in the skilled trades, applied sciences, modern technologies.

6. Education is important for every individual in a nation. It plays a vital role to change the stare
of a country. No country could bring a revolution in it unless its people are educated enough
to meet the challenges. Education makes a man realize about himself and his goals and how
to achieve that goals.
Basically, Education is divided into three groups. The Education which teaches the concerns of
a society is called Social Education. The Education which develops a personality inside a man
himself is called Spiritual Education. The Education that concerns with the professionalism is
called Vocational Education. The Technical Education comes under the branch of Vocational
Education which deals practically in the field of trade, commerce, agriculture, medicine &
Engineering.

We are living in the modern age of science where we found Technologies in every aspect of
life. What makes life so easy for us… simply; these are the Technologies which we use for our
ease and comforts. Not only in our daily life but also in the research centre, in defensive
measured of a country, biological aspects etc. No nation could make the progress unless it
promotes technical aspects in its fields. The technical education produces technicians for all
type of industries and it is true that the progress of a country much depend upon its
Industrialization without which a handsome economy would not be possible.

Using a technology is far easier than to develop it. For developing a technology, it needed
high skill teams which have a high knowledge for the theme. It also needed a high amount of
time and also money. To fulfill all these, there must be technical institutes which must cover
all the faculties of technological studies and also the support of government to support
financially & to make it at international level. If it would be at International level then it would
be easier to students to acquire knowledge in their own state so that they could do
something for their own country.

Pakistan leads in the technological era. The exhibition canters in Pakistan plays a vital role in
backing up the technicians to come up with more and more new technologies because it
gives reflection of our technologies to the foreigners which are representing their country,
which means we are reflecting our image to that world. By this we have a sense of
development and prosperity that we also produce creative mind in the technological aspect.

As far as Pakistan’s implementation in techno field is concern, we can look around and
observe that in every field of life we are using high class technologies whether it is in the
Industrial purpose, business purpose, agriculture purpose or defensive purpose. There has
been a lot of emergence of on-line trading, which deals with high technological concerns in
term of machinery and software. Pakistan Telecommunication field also deal with high-class
technology.

Pakistan also promises to produce best technicians of its own through their technical
education centers which allow approximately all the faculties for technical development.
These institutes also support the new courses of technology which are introduced at a time
so that there would be no line at which we lay behind. The most important institutes of in
Pakistan which support the technical courses include, NED University, GIK University, Karachi
University, Mehran University and there are also some other private Universities which deal
in technological subjects. These institutes promise to produce technicians who cold meet the
challenges of the technological era. I feel proud when I watch the students rushing towards
these technical institutes to become a prosperous technician who have a sense of
responsibility for the progress of their nation.
Technical education promotes the material prosperity and economic advancement. It
produces the sense of self-respect and dignity. If a country has her own technical experts, she
can save a lot of foreign exchange i.e. Technical Education makes a country rich, prosperous
and resourceful. Our country is rich in raw material resources but the thing is, we must have
enough technical knowledge to benefit from them.

Technical education is really important because it will teach you skills that are vital for poverty
reduction, economic recovery and sustainable development. Technical Education imparts
knowledge of specific trade, craft or profession. It's the academic and vocational preparation
of students for jobs involving applied science and modern technology. With the help of this,
you will gain more knowledge and understanding.

7. Technical Education, instruction in a skill or procedure, usually of a mechanical type, and at a

level between that of the professional scientist or engineer and that of a skilled craftsperson.
Technicians support scientists and engineers by designing, developing, producing, and
maintaining machines and materials. The work of a technician is more limited in scope than
that of a scientist or engineer and is commonly considered practical rather than theoretical in
its orientation.

In industry, jobs for technicians range from those that are narrow in scope and require
relatively limited technical understanding, such as the routine inspection of parts, to those
that require a considerable level of mathematical, scientific, and applied technological ability,
such as engineering aide, instrumentation technician, draftsperson and tool designer. The
growing field of computer technology is providing many new employment opportunities for
technicians.

Liberal Arts, term often used to refer to unspecialized and nonscientific courses of study
pursued by undergraduate students at a college or university. The term liberal arts can also refer more
broadly to all undergraduate studies in the arts and sciences, which include such subjects as literature,
history, and political science. Liberal arts studies generally are distinguished from prevocational or
preprofessional studies, which more directly prepare a student for specific kinds of employment.
Examples of prevocational and preprofessional studies include programs in the health sciences,
engineering, architecture, and computer programming. Prevocational or preprofessional courses of
study constitute an increasing majority of higher education programs worldwide. In the United States
fewer than a third of all college students graduate with bachelor’s degrees in liberal arts subjects.
Nonetheless, liberal arts education still has passionate advocates. Defenders of the liberal arts claim that
a broad-based, nonspecialized education prepares young people for the variety of experiences and
occupations they can expect to pursue over the course of a lifetime.
