1.0 INTRODUCTION
Fruits and Vegetables Stalls Project will be organized by the entire year
one teachers of Sekolah Kebangsaan Pasir Puteh (SKPP). It will be based on
understanding project through design which is in accordance with the class
assessment or also known as ‘Pentaksiran Bilik Darjah’ (PBD).
Fruits and Vegetables Stalls Project offers a number of interesting

language-based activities and hands-on activities for the entire seven year old
pupils. The activities include the introduction to the names of fruits and
vegetables in three languages, spelling, tagging the price, using money to buy
fruits and vegetables, and classify fruits and vegetables according to shapes
and colours.
This project aims to give a chance for school administrators, teachers,

and parents to assess the year one pupils and for the year one pupils to
assess their peers. It is hoped that at the end of the project, the pupils’ interest
towards fruits and vegetables topic will be heightened and simultaneously
their achievement will be improved.
2.0 RATIONALE
Malay Language, English Language, Arabic Language, Islamic

Education, Mathematics, Science, and Arts subjects can be learnt through
various activities which can be more fun and enjoyable. The group project will
be incorporated to give a chance for slow learners to learn from their peers
and for the fast learners to express their understanding by guiding their peers.
Therefore, Fruits and Vegetables Stalls Project will be organized to give an
opportunity for year one pupils to learn and express their understanding

through various activities that are quite different from their normal classroom
routine.

4.0 IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY
Fruits and Vegetables Stalls Project will be conducted for one week:
from Sunday to Thursday. On Sunday, pupils will be focusing on learning and
making 3Ds fruits. On Monday, pupils will be focusing on learning and making
3Ds vegetables. On Tuesday, pupils will be focusing on tagging. On
Wednesday, pupils will be focusing on making the stalls. On the last day
which is Thursday, pupils will be assess on their learning, understanding, and
project.

* The formative assessment can be carried out throughout the project.
* All the year one teachers should be present in 1 Arif class on Thursday,
22nd August 2019.
All the activities will be carried out in groups of four or five. Pupils will

At the end of the week, school administrators, teachers, school staffs,

and parents will be invited to carry out summative assessment towards pupils’
learning and understanding. The assessment will be conducted as group
assessment. Each subject teacher will come out with suitable summative
assessment that is based on the Content and Learning Standard or also
known as ‘Dokumen Standard Kurikulum dan Pentaksiran’ (DSKP) - refer to
page 4.
A book of report will be prepared for each group – refer to Lampiran 1.

For each assessment, pupils will be rewarded with a sticker. They will either
get band 1, band 2, band 3, band 4, band 5, or band 6 sticker. Although the
assessment will be carry out in groups, the band for each subject will be given
individually. Pupils may get the same mark with the rest of the group members
and they may also get different mark from the rest of their group members.
For Mathematics, the Math teacher will give a certain amount of money
for each group to buy fruits and vegetables. Pupils are neither allowed to
spend less than the money given nor more than the money given. Each group
has to spend just enough. When they have bought the items, they have to
deliver the items to the teacher in-charge. There will be six sessions.

For language based subjects such as Malay Language, English

Language, Arabic Language, and Jawi, the assessment will be conducted at
the same time. Each group will be given a manila card as illustrated in Table
4. For ‘Bahasa Arab’, teacher will say aloud the fruits’ and vegetables’ names
while pupils glue the picture given according to the number. For ‘Bahasa
Melayu’, ‘Bahasa Inggeris’, and ‘Jawi’, pupils have to spell each item
pronounced by a specific teacher. The band will be given as listed in Table 5.

For ‘Dunia Sains dan Teknologi’ (DST), pupils will be asked to
categorize fruits and vegetables according to shapes and colours. There will
be 2 sessions. In the first session, each group will be given 12 different types
of fruits and vegetables. Each fruit and vegetable will be tagged according to

their group number. Then they will be asked to put the items in specific boxes
illustrated as below:

For the second session, each group will also be given 12 different
types of fruits and vegetables. Each fruit and vegetable will be tagged
according to their group number. Then they will be asked to put the items in

For each session, 12 marks will be given. Thus, for two sessions, there

The participants will be comprised of 23 seven year old students of
Sekolah Kebangsaan Pasir Puteh (SKPP) 2019. There will be 14 male pupils
