AT 2014 Eligibility Criteria: The MAT September
2013 registration process is going on at present.
But before you start the registration process, make
sure you fulfill the MAT 2014 Eligibility Criteria.

The MAT 2014 Eligibility Criteria is not much compli-

cated or demanding. It states that the candidates should be
graduates in any discipline from a recognized university.
Final year students can also apply, provided they can produce
the final year marksheet within the stipulated time.

Unlike many other MBA entrance exams, MAT 2014 Eligi-

bility Criteriadoes not have a percentage or CGPA cut off.
Nor does the MAT 2014 Eligibility Criteria vary according
to categories. The Eligibility Criteria for MAT is uniform in of the participating institutes would be the same as that of the

However, in order to gain admission at the participating
B-schools for MAT, you need to ensure that you fulfill their
individual eligibility criteria as well, which may be different
from that of the MAT 2014 Eligibility Criteria as per the

MAT 2014 Exam Pattern

AT 2014 is held in both paper pencil based form as
well as computer based form. The duration of the
exam is 2 hours 30 minutes. There are 200 multi-
ple choice questions on 5 sections, namely Language Com-
prehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical
Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning and Indian and
Global Environment. Each correct answer bears four marks
and for each wrong answer, there is 1/4 negative marking.

MAT or the Management Aptitude Test is the MBA

entrance exam conducted by All Indian Management Asso-
ciation (AIMA) which is conducted 4 times a year. It is a
multiple choice objective type test which is conducted in
both paper pencil and computer based format. The MAT
2014 Exam Pattern is expected to follow the previous test
pattern itself.
MAT 2014 Duration
The duration of the MAT is 150 minutes or 2 hours 30 min-
utes. There is no sectional time limitation. You have to utilize
the entire duration in order to solve the 5 sections.

Earlier, MAT exam was conducted only in paper based

format but since the year 2009, computer based format was MAT 2014 Number of Questions

MAT 2014 Sections
There are 5 sections in the MAT exam. These are Language
Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Math-
ematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency and Indian
Global Environment. Many B-schools consider the first 4
sections only.
The total marks of MAT is 800. There is 4 marks for each
correct answer and negative marking of ¼ marks. Since there
is negative marking involved, you must be very careful about
answering the questions.
MAT 2014 Difficulty Level
The expected difficulty level of MAT is easy to moderate.
As MAT follows a stable exam pattern, there is not much
chance for the test takers to get much surprise in theMAT
2014 exam pattern.

The MAT cutoff marks is expected to range from 400 to 600.

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by
