1. Overview The Console Advance (DR-ID300CL) is used by a radiographer to view
CR/DR images for final quality assurance (QA) checking and image
processing/optimization prior to transfer of those images to external
devices such as PACS or a printer. The Console Advance is used to
enter patient ID information and exposure conditions. When the
Console Advance is connected to an FCR built-in type or DR Reader
Unit, images are directly received from the image reader. When it is
connected to an FCR Cassette type Reader Unit; on the other hand,
images are acquired through barcode numbers on Imaging Plate (IP).

2. Features (1) The Console Advance provides preview image display within 3
seconds after X-ray exposure, and completes image processing
within 6 seconds. This facilitates speedy image confirmation,
enabling improvement of patient care and study throughput. (In
case of connecting to FDR D-EVO, preview image is displayed
in less than 2 seconds and image processing is completed in less
than 6 seconds. In case of connecting to FDR D-EVO wireless,
preview image is displayed in less than 2 seconds and image
processing is completed in less than 9 seconds.)

(2) The Console Advance allows “patient attributes input”,

“exposure/study attributes input”, and “quality confirmation/
optimization of images”.

(3) The Console Advance allows image reception by using an

upright/table type FPD, upright/table type Fuji CR built-in, or Fuji
CR/DR Cassette.

(4) Selecting an anatomical region menu from the Console Advance

automatically sets up preset image processing parameters, which
allows transmission of exposure conditions etc. to a diagnostic
X-ray high voltage generator.

(5) The Console Advance is connectable to PACS via network, and

performs gradation processing in accordance with DICOM Part 14.

(6) The Console Advance stores scanned image data on external

recording media in a DICOM Stream format.

(7) The user authentication setting enhances the security function.

In addition, patient information protection is enhanced by means
of functions such as auto logoff, password setting with an
expiration date, user restriction according to function, retake
analysis, and password input upon any change in technologist
information.

Patient information in the process of irradiation can be displayed on the
terminal (commercial item) for displaying the patient information.

(6) Precise Enlargement display application

An expanded High-resolution LCD monitor (option) allows an easy observation
of images with equivalent quality to the diagnostic images.

(7) PDI Output function

Study images and incidental information are stored in external storage media.
It provides a simplified viewer.
Compliant with the IHE PDI (Portable Data for Imaging).

(8) Free layout print function
• It allows up to 100 images to be placed in a single piece of film.
• Multiple studies can be collectively output to a single piece of film.
• Multiple studies, even of different patients, can be collectively output to a
single piece of film.
• The size of each image frame within a layout can be freely changed.
• Multiple default layouts can be saved.

(9) Quality Control (QC) Software

The Quality Control Software analyzes, displays and stores data of the read
images for purpose of management of Imager Reader (CR and DR) constancy.

(10)Mammography QC Software

Data analysis of Mammography QC can be conducted on the Console Advance

using the images irradiated with FCR 1Shot Phantom M Plus (available
separately).

(11)Remote Image Display Software

By using another computer (commercial item), via a network connection, this
software allows patient information and study images displayed on the Console
unit to be viewed on another computer.

(12)Energy Subtraction Software (FDR AcSelerate connection only)

Energy Subtraction Processing Software is a software product to provide
images in which bone images are separated from soft tissue images
particularly in chest image exposures.
Please contact our support personnel if you consider installing this function.

Recommended PC: equivalent to specifications of DELL Optiplex 790

CPU: Core i 5 3.1GHz
RAM:2GB
HDD: S-ATA 250GB
(13)Tomosynthesis Software (FDR AcSelerate connection only)
The Tomosynthesis Software is a software product to generate multiple
tomographic images by reconstruction processing of the multiple images taken
from different angles.

After a general exposure is performed, the optimum X-ray exposure condition

is calculated from its result and applied to the next Tomosynthesis exposure.
Four Options to use this function are as follows.
1. An expanded High-resolution LCD monitor (Selectable from 4.2 (8))
2. An expanded RAM (2GB) (with expansion up to 4GB.)
3. Marker kit
4. PPU

(14)Remote Desktop Software

Displaying the same screen of the Console both in remote terminals
(commercial item) and Console allows the user to operate it in remote terminals
and in the console, respectively.

(15)Referral Viewing Function Software

By retrieving and displaying past images stored in the PACS, exposure can be
performed while referring those images.

(16)Network Image Retrieval Software

Network Image Retrieval Software enables searching past images stored in the
PACS and printing them on a film.

(17)Body Movement Detection for General Radiography Software

When exposure has been performed for a menu to be analyzed, this software
measures the sharpness of the image and analyzes whether or not body
movement (motion) occurred during the X-ray irradiation. Also it can inform the
user of the result.

(18)Smart Controller Software

By using a mobile terminal (commercial item), it is possible to remotely perform
some functions in a console such as confirming information on a patient and a
study, changing irradiated field, and closing a study at an exposure chamber
from where the console itself is installed.

(19)Virtual Grid Software

Image processing that can improve color contrast decreased by scattered
radiation.

(20)General RIS Browser Software

Use the remote desktop function in Windows or use browser to refer to the
screen of RIS terminal in the Console window.

(21)QA ROI Measurement Software

Width, height, average pixel rate, center pixel rate, standard deviation, and
area of ROI are displayed by specifying ROI for the normalized image.

6.3 Precautions (1) Precautions to observe when using USB flash memory/external HDD
for Installation • In case of using external recording medium such as USB Flash memory or
external HDD, select the one that meets the following conditions.
• It conforms to the FCC/VCCI/CE standards or the equivalent.
• It complies with USB 2.0 specifications
• Installation of such as dedicated driver or special software is not necessary
for use of this unit.
• 2GB or more storage capacity
• Ensure the normal operations by performing the Write/Read & Compare with
Windows Explorer at the time of initial setting.
• External recording medium is intended to use as temporary delivery of
images and storage of certain images for research purpose, and not as a
server.
• FUJIFILM cannot be liable for any loss of external recording medium or any
saved data.
• FUJIFILM cannot be liable for any damage caused by virus or other harmful
sources.
(2) Precautions when using remote terminals
In Remote Image Display Software and Remote Desktop Software, iPod Touch
and iPad can be used as remote terminal. Note the following points when
introducing those devices.
• Use the remote terminal as dedicated device for remote operation of the
Console. It cannot be used with other purposes.
• The remote terminal must be connected with the Console via the dedicated
access point.
Connection is available through one of the following access point.
• Access point on the local network in the exposure room
• Access point on the In-hospital network
• Terminals subscribed to a communication carrier cannot be used as remote
terminal.
• One remote terminal can be connected with only one Console.
