‘RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE PHILIPPINE DRUG ENFORCEMENT AGENCY THAT

OUR BARANGAY BE CLEARED TO THE LIST OF INFILTRATED WITH DRUG”

WHEREAS, Marawi City was under siege by the Maute terrorist group on the 23 rd of May 2017
following a fire fight between them and the Armed forces of the Philippines in the Barangay Basak
Malulut which led to declaration of Martial Law and calling out of the Armed Force of the Philippines to
suppress these lawless violence;
WHEREAS, the constituents of the Marawi City was forced by the circumstances to flee for
safety in other places and left their homes, bringing with them only their belongings that they can easily
transport;

WHEREAS, the Government Troops resorted to aerial bombing of the areas controlled by the
terrorist Group in order to expedite the recovery of control over Marawi City;

WHEREAS, the destruction of a substantial number of establishments, infrastructures both

private and government and residential houses and building in Marawi City in the course of the battle
between these terrorists and government troops cannot be gainsaid;

WHEREAS, that our barangay is already declared totally damaged and evacuated by all the
residents;

WHEREAS, that this council is requesting the Philippines Drug Enforcement Agency to
reconsider and remove our barangay to the list of barangay infiltrated with drug to the reason that our
barangay is within the Most affected Area ;

WHEREAS, that up to this time there’s no longer drug activities within our barangay;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion, duly seconded and upon unanimous vote, is it:

RESOLVED, TO EARNESTLY REQUESTING THE PHILIPPINE DRUG

ENFORCEMENT AGENCY THAT OUR BARANGAY BE CLEARED TO THE LIST OF
INFILTRATED WITH DRUG;

RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish to copies of this Resolution to the proper authorities

concerned.
