Checklist of items to be included in persuasive oral speech:

_____ State clearly the state you are planning to visit.

_____ Maintain the role of a travel agent throughout presentation.

_____ Include places of interest that tourists may want to visit while
vacationing.

_____ Mention the state’s motto, flower, nickname, and capital city.

_____ Include the date that your state became part of the United
States of America.

_____ Tell about important or famous people that are from your state
and what they are famous for doing.

_____ Make sure you include persuasive arguments of why someone


would want to visit your state. In other words, “sell” it.

_____ Speech should be organized and have a definite beginning,


middle, and end.
