DECENTRALIZED COUNSELLING AND ADMISSION FOR B.TECH. (1st year), 2019-20

As per G.O. No. 361-Edn(T)/10M-86/15 dated 17.07.2019, Department of Higher Education,

Government of West Bengal, applications in prescribed format are invited from the candidates along with
self-attested photocopies of all testimonials for admission to the B.Tech. 1st year (1st semester) against vacant
seats as listed below for the year 2019-2020 as per following eligibility criteria within 2nd August, 2019 up to
4-00 p.m.
A) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

a) Participating candidates must be domiciled in West Bengal.

b) Participating candidates besides fulfilling all the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions
as stipulated by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board in respect of the
examination ‘WBJEE-2019’ for admission to any such technical courses must have obtained a
valid WBJEE -2019 Merit rank.
c) Allotment shall be made strictly on the basis of WBJEE -2019 Merit rank and preference of a
candidate.

 The Certificate of Blood Group is to be obtained from a authorized laboratory and submitted during admission.

g) Students need to submit TWO affidavits as per Annexure-I and Annexure-II in a non-
judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- before an Oath Commissioner (Please see Annexure)

Note: Admission will be refused if original Certificates/Documents and corresponding self-

attested photocopies of certificates/documents are not presented /submitted at the time of
admission. Affidavits may be submitted within 7 days after admission.

ADMISSION TO HOSTEL

Hostel Facilities : Hostel seats are limited.

Procedure for admission : Intending students will be admitted into hostel at the time of college admission. For that purpose, they have to
deposit the following amount by Demand Draft :

a) For Boys Hostel : a DD of Rs 9,500/- in favour of “KGEC-A.P.C. ROY HALL” payable at Kolkata
b) For Girls Hostel : a DD of ` 9,500/- in favour of “KGEC-Pritilata Chhatrinibas Fund” payable at Kolkata
