Job Title: Program Director Program: All Center: Redondo Benefit Level: None
Immediate Supervisor: Chief Program Officer Positions Supervised: Custodian, Program Assts.
Assigned Hours: 36 hours weekly
Job Responsibilities: Oversee all center programmatic activities
Qualifications:
 Minimum High School Diploma or GED; B.A. or some post-secondary education preferred
 Unwavering commitment to Christ-centered quality programs and outreach to children/families
 Significant experience in youth ministry or related field, track record of effectively leading staff and
volunteers; ability to point to specific examples of having led groups of children/youth effectively
 Positive results from criminal background check, reference check and drug testing
 Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent
interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
 Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
 Insurable under vehicle insurance policy and valid driver’s license
Knowledge of: Skills and Abilities to:

 Train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers
 Carry out responsibilities or delegate them in a timely manner

 Ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set
and achieve strategic objectives, and operate programs within board-
* May be acquired after hire approved budget
 Availability for periodic weekend or evening programming
 First Aid, CPR, and Child Abuse and Neglect certifications.*
% Of Time Illustrative Duties:
65% Oversee Community Center programming
Oversee program staff and expenses
Oversee the Super Kids Afterschool, and Ready4Work youth leadership programs
Evaluate Heart Reach Neighborhood Ministries programming
Advertise Heart Reach Neighborhood Ministries programs to target group
Assist with new program development
Coordinate volunteers working with the children and youth
Oversee building and vehicle usage as needed
Assist with grant writing efforts whenever possible
Foster relationships with children, youth and families and their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Coordinate programs and activities for the larger organization as directed (i.e.
25% White Cross donations, Thrive, Camp, NOW Youngstown, vehicle/building
coordination, etc.)
10% Other Duties As Assigned
