INDUCTION PROGRAM

IT ‘P’ DIVISION
ORIENTATION DAY DATE-18-7-19
My first day at LD was 18th July which was the day of
orientation. I reached college at 10:30 and orientation
programme started at 11 am. We were heartily welcomed by
our seniors and also given our roll number and division by
them. Our orientation started by welcome speech of our
seniors followed by introduction of our respected HOD mam
and her speech. We were also introduced by our other faculties
present there. We were made aware about the procedure
followed in LD for any kind of assistance and official work. Then
we were made familiar and was addressed by various clubs
active in LDCE some of them being VP club, NCC, NSS, Robocon
etc... Then we were served refreshments. We were made
aware of important achievements made by IT students of LDCE.
Our orientation programme ended by college tour and
performance by Dhanak group.

DAY- 2 DATE: 19-7-19

Our first lecture was of physical activity by expert Uddhav sir.
We reached cricket ground and starting with warm up exercise
we raced a sprint race. After that standing jump was performed
by every student. We played different games instructed by sir,
which was challenging for mental power and our endurance.
Our second lecture was of Universal Human Values which
consisted of how an engineer with best academic qualification
but without values is useless to make society a better place to
live. It was also followed by expert lecture on how difficulties of
start up can be solved by hard work and logical deductions.
Third lecture was of creative arts in which we were asked to
introduce our bench mate so we can know each other better.

DAY-3 DATE: 22-7-19

Our first lecture was of Universal Human Values by A C Patel sir
in which he presented us an extended version of story of
tortoise and hare which taught us how team work is better
than individual work; also we were shown videos on how SEVA
cafe works on GIFT economy and a short video on real heroes.
Second lecture was of creative arts in which we were asked to
make advertisement by making groups and perform on stage,
enhancing our creative mind and breaking our stage fear. Third
lecture was of physical activity in which we played standing kho
by combining both divisions.

DAY-4 DATE: 23-7-19

Our first lecture was of proficiency module (English) in which

we were taught the art of conversation and guided who we can
improve our vocabulary by making changes in our day to day
life. Our second lecture was physical activity in which we
performed as participants of game in which participants are
blindfolded and were assigned task of touching a stone.

DAY-5 DATE: 24-7-19

Our first lecture was of literary in which we were

assigned the task of message drawing in which we
can’t simply write message in a fancy way but
instead we had to draw to express. Our second
lecture was of physical activity in which sir
explained us pranayam and importance of it. Later
lecture of proficiency module was conducted for
maths.

DAY-6 DATE: 25-7-19

This was the day for ISRO visit which was educative
as well as fun. The visit consisted of several
educative videos.
DAY-7 DATE: 26-7-19
Our first lecture was of physical activity in which
sprint running was performed. In our second lecture
a expert lecture was arranged in which short trick
for finding square of number in range of 25-125 was
taught.

DAY-8 DATE: 29-7-19

Our first lecture was of universal human values in
which a logical puzzle was given to us and videos
were shown teaching us anger management.
Second lecture was of creative art in which we were
asked to perform a short play in group of 5-10
persons. Third lecture was of expert in which we
were taught how to enhance our communication
skill.
DAY-9 DATE: 30-7-19
Our first lecture was of a visit to our physics lab in
which we were made aware of bread board and
how to make a parallel and series connection in it.
Second lecture consisted of short play performed by
remaining students.
DAY- 10 DATE: 31-7-19
Our first lecture was of literary which consisted of
acts performed by individual students. Another
lecture of maths in which we were taught of limits
and were asked to draw graphs of respective
functions.
DAY-11 DATE: 1-8-19
Our day started with a presentation by our seniors
explaining the SSIP in our college, it consisted of
how can we apply for this programme as well as
how can it benefit us. Later we were taken for an
visit to LD museum of indology which consisted of
several ancient artifacts and pictures as back as 18th
century.
DAY-11 DATE: 2-8-19
First lecture was of physical activity in which we
played cricket or kabbadi as per our interest.
Second lecture was of universal human values in
which we were shown an art movie named “I AM
KALAM”. Last lecture was of creative art in which
our first activity was to arrange 15 things given to us
in chronological order of requirement in order to
survive. Second activity was a group game to solve
given puzzle.
