Activity 1
TRAVEL AROUND THE WORLD
The teacher will present and shows the
map of the world and choose countries.
The students must tell something about the
country in terms of their culture, the way or
forms of society and political structure.
After the activity the students will analyze
their answers and compare it to the
Philippines settings. They will answer the
following questions:
1. Is there differences and
similarities in terms of
culture, society and
politics?
2. Why do we need to
understand these
differences?
Processing of answers shall follow.
Culture refers to the complex whole which
includes knowledge, beliefs, arts, morals,
laws, customs, and any other capabilities
and habits acquired by man as a member
of the society.

1. Get one whole sheet of paper.
2. Write your name inside the circle.
3. Draw figure 1 on the sheet of paper
4. Write the following information of yourself

Directions: Based on the output from the
previous activity, the teacher will ask the
students to discuss their observations
based on the following questions:
1. What are the similarities and differences
of every individual?
2. Do these similarities and differences
affect the life of the whole community?

The teacher will give each group a time
frame of 2 minutes to present their answers
group outputs. Processing of answers shall
follow.
Gender and Gender Roles
People play different roles in society
depending on one’s age and occupation.
There are jobs that require a specific
gender to perform tasks while other jobs are
open to both men and women.

The teacher will post list of senatorial
candidates and will let the students
choose and vote for 2 minutes.

A political behavior of a person or a group
may be influenced by their political views,
ideology, and levels of political
participation. An obvious example of an
act of political behavior is the act of
voting.
Political phenomena are not only limited
to public office as this also include how
institutions like school, a church, or
companies are ran and governed.
Cultural Behavior and Phenomena
Also known as bandwagon effect, a
cultural behavior is that event when
certain individuals behave a certain way
merely because other persons do as well.
Cultural phenomena happen when
something or someone gains widespread
popularity. However, it is noteworthy that
it is not the subject that is the cultural
phenomena but rather a process of
becoming famous.
