We dedicate this project work to the on push pusher (God Almighty) and to

 ABSTRACT
This project aimed is to enlighten about the relevance of computer to
higher institution and to student as well, using Benue state university as a case
study. The study /research were conducted through the use of secondary and
primary source of information where questionnaires, oral interview, textbook,
journey, newspaper are used. Data collected was used for analysis in chapter four
and the method was simply percentage. The researcher, after thorough
investigation discovered that the device computer can perform many task people
can do in days within a very short time and more to that, computer are very
significant, and important to higher institution and to student. It was also
discovered that computer aids or help student in conducting research, learning
and also help higher institution in computing of result. Finally the result of the
research shows that computers are very significant to higher institution and to
student, that is why the NUC stated that every higher institution at large, that
those not have the equip ICT (information communication technology) should not
be allowed to operate.
